Good recap in spite of all the things that you endured. You kept your sense of humor and provided us with an interesting summary of a mixed bag of talents. Thank you.

After watching the first few songs, if I had a few cocktails, I might be Danny-Curious.

LOL at this :-)

Great recap! Sounds like there were a lot of unfortunate mishaps, which is too bad :-( I loved your description of travelling to Planet Fierce! Also liked the point you made about how the set up of the tour is a little jarring by nature, because as soon as you settle into one performer's style and mood, the set is over.

The AI tour is sort of like a sampler plate, I guess, a buffet if you will.

I think it was on ontd_ai somewhere. Maybe that was your picture??

I brought my camera but ended up not taking any pics. :( I was just too far away and couldn't stay for the buses. Oh, well, I'm hoping to see Adam in tour on his own and I'll get some good shots then.

I'm glad you made it to the concert! And saw Cheeks and Cassidy! Are they both Pocket Idol size?

Yes, they both looked Pocket Idol sized from where I was, both are very attractive.

Both cute boys almost could pass for brothers too. There was a grainy picture of them watching Adam from their seats and both were mezmerized. I think it was on ontd_ai somewhere. Maybe that was your picture??

Funny how Adam really has a "type", although I prefer looking at Kris' more muscular and not so lean body. But then again, I'm not a gay guy!

Anyway, thanks again for the very entertaining recap (although I really didn't wish for your bad luck parts). Keep up the snarky remarks here on the blog too!

You had quite the adventure getting to the venue! I'm glad you had a good time. I really liked the part where you compared Adam and Kris, that Adam gets everyone going and Kris soothes...I've never thought about it in that way before!

I was really happy until I got to my car and saw the parking ticket! I didn't realize it was street cleaning day.

Poor undercooked!! I fervently hope this is the last of your AI car-related mishaps.

LOL, it never ends!

I got out of the biz, but am now looking at going back in on a freelance way. Just for fun. This media event was my trial run.

Go for it! You've got the talent. It makes a huge difference when you're doing it for fun.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Let me wrap up my tale of AI and the car. I think I was fated to be at that Ford Dealership where Adam and Kris picked up their cars. I actually bought my at Escape Hybrid at that exact same dealership and I take it there for service!

I was off on Friday and I went to Ford to check to see if my warranty was still good as I have 70,000 miles on my car. (Good news, I am covered!) I had thought the Ford Press thing was the day before, but I found out from MJ's that it was that morning. I still had my camera with me from last night. There was a wait in the service department, so I made an appointment for Monday to bring my car in. I parked my car on the side road and headed towards the lot.

When I got to the lot, I knew I could take the press route or the fan route. I opted for the "press" route. Let's face it, what am I going to say to these guys if I get a chance to talk to them? I thought it would me more interesting to observe Adam and Kris dealing with their fame. I looked like hell, which for once was a plus, because photographers are famous for looking unkempt. FYI..I worked as a newspaper reporter years ago and did a bit of photography. I was what many people might call a newspaper hack, covering crime and local politics. No beauty in that...found out after five years that I didn't have the stomach for crashing crime victims' funerals or hustling myself into grieving families' homes. I got out of the biz, but am now looking at going back in on a freelance way. Just for fun. This media event was my trial run.

There were about 100 people there, which included the press. Adam and Kris looked tired but both were pleasant to everyone. They did not interact with the fans and the PR people made sure they kept to schedule. They were there from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. I was only able to get shots of Adam in his car because they actually presented them the vehicles at the same exact time. I had been able to push myself up to the front of the photog pile by the mustang and I didn't want to lose my spot. Adam was nice and kept moving around so we all could get shots. I didn't ask him any questions as he seemed tired and this really was a photog op and not an interview.

I followed around the photogs and got lots of shots, many not so good. I just got a new 35 MM Nikon and this was the first day using it. I hadn't done any photogrpahy in years. I need to get some longer lenses but I still had a blast at the event. I was really happy until I got to my car and saw the parking ticket! I didn't realize it was street cleaning day.

LOVED this! Thank you for sharing - hope it helped to vent a little, you really had issues - (poster who described you as hot,wet and sticky for Idols gave it a good spin, though!).
Loved so much about the writing - I really felt transported, could totally relate - loved the yin/yang, loved the Danny-curious (and the poster who responded by throwing up a little in her mouth), and especially loved the fact that you looked after your daughter so well in difficult circumstances. You rock!

Sorry to hear about your many trials and tribulations as part of this and yikes! hope you get your car fixed. Not having a car in LA with air conditioning in the summer, is not a pleasant thing, much less not having a car to get around with.

Sucks for you about the "upgrade," that put you with worse seats. What a crappy thing to do to you and your child.

Loved the Slaughterhouse Five reference and yeah, I can imagine it's a bit of whiplash to go from Gokey's preachifying to Adam's sex rocking and then after that, to go to Kris's mellowness. Totally understandable that you had to miss part of his set, but too bad for you.

Glad that at least out of all of that, that Adam's performance was good for you and was worth it.

Best of luck with getting your car fixed! Never fun :(
