Tuesday Ratings: The Voice Finale Up From Last Year

On NBC, the season finale of  The Voice earned a 4.3  in adults 18-49, compared to last week’s 3.1 and was up 16% overall from last year’s finale ( which earned a 3.7 18-49 rating in June 2011).

On FOX, Glee  earned a 2.6, up a tenth from last week’s 2.5 in adults 18-49.

The Dancing with the Stars results show was flat with last week’s season low 2.3.

The Voice got a nice bump for their finale, but DWTS still had more viewers. Glee is up a 1oth as it heads into its last few shows.  DWTS remains flat.

    I was glad to see the blurb about the bump for last night’s finale but I wish the figures had looked a bit better than that though.

    which is a shame because it’s more entertaining and more diverse than either of those shows.

    The Voice Finale was SO much better than Idol finales have been the past few years (the last really great one being Season 8).  I liked how they showcased the TALENT and not just stars looking to promote themselves.  and their behind the scenes clips of the judges were hysterical – esp Puurfect the cat… LOL

    I don’t think this is true.  What numbers do you have for X-Factor?   The season’s averages for X-Factor are 3.7 and 3.5 according to this site - 
    http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/the-x-factor-ratings-2011-2012/  Most episode of The Voice had higher ratings than that, and many early episodes are far higher, so they should average above 4.

    Here are last night’s final adjusted ratings from tvbythenumbers.

    The Voice, Glee, Dancing with the Stars and NCIS were each adjusted up a tenth among adults 18-49 ratings, while The LA Complex and Private Practice were adjusted down versus Tuesday’s preliminary ratings.
