Ratings are in from TV By The Numbers

Glee’s 2.8 adults 18-49 rating was a season low, down 15% vs. a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating last week. New Girl also had a season low, falling to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, down 9% vs. a 3.5 adults 18-49 rating last week. Raising Hope scored a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating the same as last week.

Numbers were down across the board last night, at least partly due to folks out romancing their honeys on Valentines Day!

No wonder NBC is thrilled with the ratings for The Voice and Smash.  The ratings of their other shows really suck.

I think it is time to let Glee die a graceful death before the Glee kids all turn gray.  The show had a great up-front premise but now it is just about selling I-tunes and little more.  Other than Idol FOX hasn’t had a hit for awhile….I think its time for network TV to rethink what they are broadcasting.  At some point (even though you have to pay extra for it) cable TV will push the networks to the breaking point…besides Cable is winning many of the prestigious awards right now…and they are getting their talent and writers from the same pool.

I guess most folks would rather have dinner and sex than sit through an episode of Glee…makes sense.  Sadly for me, I was able to see the entire episode and it was one of the recent better ones. Loved Rachel’s dads!!

This is ture. While some people might be looking at The Voice’s recent leveling off of ratings as negative…this show is basically saving NBC’s ass!

I agree, I bet is an expensivve show.

Not at all.  Reality shows are actually very inexpensive compared to scripted shows.  The glitz and production is much less than the typical salaries for even a half hour comedy.  Why else would there be so many of them?  Pure economics.

There are no adjustments for Glee in the final report this afternoon.

All ratings of Tuesdays’ shows were down.  So Smash out did Glee by quite a bit! YAY!

There is a pretty easy explanation for that: It’s shiny and new. Pure curiousity, and there was a ton of promotion. There is not a great amount of hype surrounding Glee anymore. The media has moved on.
