Some brush fires also started in Sarasota (just south of Tampa). They have issued a health advisory because of the smoke. I recall a few years back that east Florida has some brush fires but the smoke never traveled this far before that I can recall. It looks like fog but when you step outside you can smell the smoke and your eyes start burning a bit. It's really freaky!
