Trent Harmon stopped by Fox & Friends this morning to sing a few songs, including his brand new single, “There’s a Girl.”

Also included on the set list: A few Idol favorites, and a song he performed at Idol Fest. Watch The American Idol winner perform “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top, “When I Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge and his homage to Elvis, “That’s Alright Mama.”

In an aftershow interview, the hardworking singer talked about keeping himself grounded. For instance, he introduced his band saying he chose them based more on their attitude than their skill. Is that surprising?

In the meantime, Trent’s new country single, “There’s a Girl” is available on iTunes right now.
