Antonella SUCKED and ruined a great song. Good thing I have the REAL version on my iTunes so I could go listen to it after she butchered it. Just another telling sign that she is nowhere NEAR ready for the recording industry, if she can’t even sing a current song well.

A note is : Haley’s song choice was last minute, and she just rehearsed for the first time today! she did ‘okay’ she wont blow out the house tonight. Hayley had no choice her song wasn’t cleared, so she had to change.

Melinda, Lakisha, Stephanie, Sabrina, Jordin, Gina ALL did amazing in reherseal. Antonella is better but still blows.

That was tried last year and didn’t work.

This was documented on the scary board last year. During Top 8 girls week, a group of Kellie-haters power-voted for Melissa in hopes of her getting voted in over Kellie. They succeeded in getting Melissa into the top 12…but at the expense of Ayla.

I’m not sure what I think about the spoilers. Really, I’m not. IT sounds like a good night of big oversinging and belting and sucking minus maybe Melinda. I like her choice.

I hate Mariah Carey with a passion and hearing Jordin sing a song I don’t already like isn’t boding well with me.

Haley…Faith Hill song? I don’t see her doing well.

Stephanie…I’m assuming she is doing the Chaka Khan version, of which I’m not familiar with, but am familiar with the Van Morrison version. Meh.

Gina – Amy Lee she is not. And what a distinctive voice Amy Lee has. And what a big hit this song has been. Oh let the comparisons begin, and Gina, will, fall short indefinitely.

Lakisha. I’m officially over her and her entirely too overdone songs on the idol stage. I don’t care if she can knock “I have nothing” out of the ballpark. Whitney Houston she is not and I’m over that song so much that I’ll probably mute her.

Melinda…I do like her choice and she has the pimp spot so I’m sure she’ll knock it out of the park. Good. Because she’s the only one I’m halfway looking forward to.

GeminiDolly – I think the problem everyone has with Antonella is that she is clearly not good enough to be where she is and is taking the place of someone who deserves to be there. Most of her votes are supposed to be because of VFTW and fans of her pics.

I have not liked any of the songs Melinda has chosen. I hate My Funny Valentine and that Aretha tune she sang was not that great either. I have never heard of “I’m A Woman”. LaKisha’s song selection is retarted. Trenyce, Jennifer Hudson, Vonzell and Katharine McPhee have all chosen that song in the past.

Folk, She changed her song at the last minute. She WAS going to be singing Tiny Dancer (Elton). THAT is the song that she hit out of the park. Lord only knows who’s giving her advice. :rolleyes_wp:
