Kristen McNamara – American Idol Top 36 Contestant

Wow I didn’t know she looked like that in her audition. LOL. Sorry to be a bit superficial, but she looks super pudgy here. In Hollywood week, she looked more fit.

I think she’s got a good voice, not crazy about her though.

^^Aww sorry I didn’t really mean it in an offensive way. I just thought she looked different here than in Hollywood week…coz of the hair obviously, and that I think she does look more fit in Hollywood. And not really digging her outfit in the pic either, not very flattering.

Looks like someone still needs to give some hair and make-up and dressing tips. LOL. I was completely turned off my her whole drama thing on AI. And her friends “made” her try out? Uh-huh.

So I watched the Nashville Star vids, she may have an awesome voice, but truly needs to connect to her songs…

I read over at VFTW that she’s friends with Diana DeGarmo. Maybe that’s the friend she’s talking about.

I don’t think she’ll win but I think she might be the designated blonde chick for the Top 12.

And here I’ve been trying to spot Purple Hair…and she’s Kristen? I’m not saying she was obese at her audition, but she absolutely dropped weight between then and Hollywood–so much so that I didn’t recognize her.

I’ll have to quote my daughter regarding Kristen: “She’s kind of annoying, but she’s got a voice on her!”

I liked her and felt bad for her for being stuck in a meltdown overdose of drama group. I was waiting for the next dramatic situation to be about the bagels. à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“You mean thereà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s no poppy seed?à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“I just want the poppy seed, and the onion to get along and work together.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ 

I thought she sang the heck out of Mercy and liked that she didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t want the drama when it was happening and even still tried to comfort the girl who didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t make it. Of course at this point there are so many to root for. I do hope she has a great performance to make it in to the top 12.

She won’t bother me as long as she doesn’t yodel.

WOW – what a resume.

I guess she qualifies as a planty plant too then. Her voice is enormous but I find her incredibly boring. She could make it to the top 12, though, because it is a weak group of women this year.

Too bad that Wed night was the first time we saw her. She does have a voice, but Wed episode made me not like her. All the girls have been portrayed as very boring or annoying.

But, we all know you are only as popular as the last show so maybe the girls will rock next week and we’ll all be singing a different tune.

Obviously I have no clue what these things are really like, but to me she came across whiney and running away from a situation instead of dealing.

I agree cookcricket, the drama wouldn’t have happened, as I see it, if she hadn’t decided to rest her voice….I didn’t watch the episode so maybe I’m wrong, but from the videos I saw, that’s what happened. I also must add that a 4 octave range doesn’t impress me as much as how you handle it. I mean you get the voice you get, but it’s what you do with it that impresses me. And ummm she doesn’t much impress me.

This girl doesn’t do it for me. I’ve seen three dollar bills more genuine than this bimbo. I’ll admit that, having seen her Nashville Star run, I had two strikes against her to begin with.

“I’ve got to rest my voice.”

Not impressed.
