Those Good Day LA people annoy me to no end. But the idols were fun. DC/MJ crack me the hell up. I liked Syesha and Ramielle’s hair.

DC/MJ are just so cool. I LOVE them.
Michael gets better looking every day, yes really. Even with the mustache joke the guy is HOT. I can’t wait to see those two LIVE.

Not trying to start a flame war because I like Cook, but MJ is starting to bug me personality wise. I feel like he always is trying so hard to be “on” if that makes any sense and he makes the same joke over and over again. That’s just me though.

I love this group though. I’m glad to see them having so much fun with each other. This really is a good group.

It’s great to see how much MJ cracks Cookie up, that’s a good time right there.

The road is tough, I’m really glad that they can all have fun together.

Brie..I loved MJ but have to agree with you….he always seemed desperate for superstardom to me. I love Cook and remember when he first got his haircut during Dolly Parton week.. I almost feel off the sofa and was a goner for him since then..but geez he looks bad in that interview!! Actually it makes me feel better because I can actually just love him for his music! He kinda lost his sex appeal unless his is “done up”…

I just want to know why the ET interview is titled “David Archuleta Heads Out on the American Idol Tour” and the paragraph underneath says “Cutie David Archuleta and the rest of the most recent “American Idol” Top Ten were rehearsing…blah blah blah…when ET dropped by their session to chat with this season’s runner-up.” But the video clearly involves both Davids, including, you know, the winner? Does ET think David Cook really IS only Archie’s assistant?

I mean, I’m not mad at ya or anything, dawg. (Dawg being ET Online.) Just thought it was weird they only put Archie’s name on the piece and then started with Cook and even gave him more time. Like, the who with the what now?

SmasrtCookie, I was weirded out by that, too, but the exact same video is posted on The Insider website and the write-up there is all Cookie. No grand conspiracy here methinks. They also did a short little segment on the show where Cookie mentioned singing a “surprise” song on the tour and no one else was interviewed (or so I hear).

I agree. I was such a huge fan during the show, I was sad for days after his elimination, and I do love the Cookie/Michael bromance but he’s bugging the hell out of me in these interviews lately.

Trina, thanks. I was totally confused about the possible corporate synergy with those videos. No big deal, apparently. And I liked Archie in that clip more than I ever have. With the scruffy hair, T-shirt, and sudden ability to articulate his own musical tastes, he is resembling Cookie more and more. If he stays somewhat unkempt and puts out a John Mayer-type album I might even buy it. Oh, 19 and your devious plans!?!

Me thinks that Kristy Lee still has a crush on DC. Noticed in one of the promo pics from the tour that are hand is totally attached to his arm in a way that wasn’t necessary for the shot.
Am I bitchy for hoping he drops KC for KLC? Not a fan of KLC’s voice but she is a very pretty girl, with a killer body who also “understands” the AI world, who seems very sweet and down to earth…she’s feisty too, but not in a brassy loud way. The look on her face when the interviewer was “grilling” DC about KC is interesting.

Do my eyes deceive me, or is that Justin G totally cracking up in the background (way back) when the reporter asks DC about KC? It’s late and my eyes are tired, so I might be wrong, but the hair looks like Justin’s.

Loved the Idol kids but please put a muzzle on the interviewers!

What a great group. they all seem very likable. Loved how Carly is mothering over Ramiele.

Yeah, I don’t get the appeal of M. Johns but then I’m old enough to be Mum to each of them.

KLC is engaged, so I doubt there would be anything going on there. She got engaged during the run of the show.

Justin Guarini is laughing in the background, but I assume since this lady mentions that it is press day, he was probably interviewing them at some point for TV Guide or one of the Idol shows. The gang probably went through a ton of interviews.

On MJ, it’s not that I think he’s a bad person–or not a nice person, but I feel like he’s a bit too “look at me, look at me” at times, which winds up reading a bit desperate. I like funny and I laugh at his jokes sometimes, but I wish he’d have a real moment in there every now and then. Like Cook is funny, but he doesn’t seem always “on” to me in quite the same way.

Oh, and Jason and his manpris are quite adorable. On anybody else no way, but he manages to get away with it.

I actually liked Syesha’s hair in this clip. She no longer looks like Ronald McDonald. Me thinks she and Archie have the same stylist, and, Cook and MJ lost their razors. Jason is making a fashion statement, KLC wants more air time, and, Carly is mothering someone, as usual. Chikeze and Ramiele, just are. It’s nice to see them all together though. The tour is going to be great. It will be sad when it’s over, and, they all go their separate ways.

I love MJ – I dont think he trys to be funny or on all the time – he just IS that type of personality and you can see here and on all interviews that the others are delighted by him. It appears that he is that way naturally in my opinion, he doesnt look like he has to work at it at all. He doesnt run to be in the shot – the shots come to him because he is entertaining and fun. Mj is just kickin back with his hands in his pockets, he’s not pushing anything. Even the people in the back are looking to see what he says and cracking up at him. David A is naturally bashful, Jason is charming, Carly kinda in your face and yes very mothering to Ramielle and Jason I thought -she was sweet with them, Ramielle shy and so on – in my opinion.

Damn! I forgot that KLC is engaged…oh well. In any case DC’s “thing” with KC doesn’t bug me that much-however….

What does sort of bug me is that when I think of inspirations for DC’s song writing, I’d like to envision that he was being inspired by a woman who was uh, well.. a little deeper and and has an earthier quality about her.
But what do I know..maybe KC is deep and earthy.

Cute that Archie runs from the cougar interviewer for protection from DC. Cute that Carly (again) says she’s nice or we like her or whatever when DC is questioned about KC. I never got the sexy thing about Michael but I do get the funny thing. I’m just glad he didn’t start whining again about leaving too early…that’s what was starting to bug me about the man. Maybe he’s over it.

bromance FTW! and as for Michael being whiny abt his elimination.. he has moved on.. working with the likes of David Foster and Diane Warren must have helped the healing process, lol.

Cookie said he wrote songs even during the competition, so I think a lot of the songs on the new album will be at least co-written by him.

I thought the interview was cute, although sort of pointless. I guess we really do have to wait until July 1 for the set list. MJ and DC are cute together (although MJ needs to find his razor, stat!) and Jason is adorable in his manpris. I wanted to punch each and every interviewer in the face, though. They said it was “press day” so maybe some better interviews will surface.

I don’t want to take any pot stirring bait, but I see no reason to think that DC is lying or delusional when he says that he will write and co-write most of his album. He hasn’t changed his story since the actual songwriting process started in earnest a couple of weeks ago, and he continues to imply that he’s intimately involved in it. Unless the label is laughing at him behind his back and has already started tracking rejected songs from other Idols albums or something, I’m expecting to him to make at least a Daughtry-like contribution to his own album. Based on that interview with David and David, I wonder if they’re under orders not to say too much beyond “it’s a rock record” or “it’s a pop record.”

I enjoyed the interview and loved the interaction between the idols, especially MJ and DC. Obviously I disagree about Michael. I’ve seen/heard him in enough interviews to know that he’s funny naturally without trying. Each to their own, though. I can’t wait to hear what everyone is doing on tour. I haven’t been around lately but will be checking in for rumours. :smile1_tb:

Layla, I have thought the same thing about DC and KLC that you mentioned at 1:37 a.m. Her hand was on his arm and I’ve seen looks between them. There are a lot of pics where they are standing beside each other. On Larry King, KLC was talking and DC was gazing at her, even when she stopped talking, he was still looking at her. In this interview, she was always standing in front of DC or to the side of him. She could have stood anywhere else. Sure, she’s engaged. That must have been planned awhile ago and her fiance popped the question on television. What was she supposed to say, “No, I’m starting to like someone else.” I think DC asked Kimberly out because he’s too much of a gentleman to try to come between KLC and her fiance. Unless she breaks her engagement, I don’t think he would come out and say anything to try to break them up. This is just my opinion, but I think there are feelings between them that just haven’t come out yet. Maybe I’m just hoping too much. KLC wouldn’t be the first girl to break her engagement because she fell in love with someone else.

As far as the interview, Jason wasn’t talked to enough but he sure looked cute.

I liked the interview. I believe them when they say they’re all good friends. I think they’re going to have a blast on tour.

I’d like to see some of the other interviews that were done.

I see nothing between DC and KLC at all. Cook has kind of an intense stare normally. On LKL, he turned to watch everybody when they spoke. To me it only looked like he was turning more to look at KLC because she was almost directly behind him so there was no casual way to look in her direction.

There was one point on LKL where Cook was leaned across the table intently staring at Castro when he talked, but I didn’t read anything into that either. Though the Cookstro gals might.

I don’t know. I think it’s one of those things where people will see what they want to see. People also thought there was something going on between Rami and Jason early in the season because there were a lot of pics of the two together.

I also don’t think KLC’s boyfriend proposed on air. He proposed during the run of Idol, but she just announced it when she got kicked off. I think on AI Extra he might have gotten down on his knees, but they were already engaged at that point.

I have to admit it does seem like DC and KLC like each other..but Im not sure Id go so far as to say they have a thing for each other. I was surprised he asked out KC because she seems a little to prissy and materialistic for him but what do I know..there must be another side to her because he seems awfully happy when her name comes up and they have been all over supporting each other with various things….

Couldn’t agree more. I love MJ too, all of us who have followed him after his boot, know he is a really nice guy and he is not trying to be funny all the time. He just is. That is him all the time.
I actually think he is pretty laid back and is always on the corner of the group interviews. He even mentioned Cookie’s Hottest bachelor magazine issue. So he is not trying to steal the spotlight from anyone. I love the camaraderie between MJ and Cookie. Great friends for sure.
I hope we get a bromance song on the tour. Heh.

Honestly, we can only judge from what we see, and hear, and we are here doing it all the time. KC would be a really pretty girl if she took a spatula and scraped off the make-up, but from what I’ve seen she seriously has a grating personality and an annoying voice. Based on DC’s past lyrics and how he carries himself in interviews, I just imagine him with some one a little less brassy…someone a little softer and classier looking..with a more obvious depth. I’m thinking more about his future of writing music than his sex life. I’m glad he’s getting some and she loks like she’s been around.

All KCs makeup, hair and jewelry are from her beauty queen days..she grew up doing all those kiddy pagent queen stuff in Texas.. I live in the south and I see this a lot.. My 12 year old daughter has a classmate who is a pagent queen and she is the rudist- stuck up kid I have ever met…walking around with her juicy couture stuff and her attitude.. I guess thats what freaked me out when I saw past stuff on KC… but maybe she is a nice person…

I don’t know about “his women”, but there’s a picture of him with an ex-girlfriend from college, and she seems the opposite of trashy. Looks like a sweet girl. And she’s a brunette.
Also, assuming he hasn’t been writing out of his ass for 10 years, I can’t see how he’s a “horndog”. Most of his songs are about his relationships, and he comes across as a very sensitive man. Doesn’t mean he isn’t a hot blooded guy, but I hardly think he’d date someone just for their looks.

Maybe, just maybe, there’s more to Kimberly than meets the eye. If not, it won’t last long anyway.

yeah Thea…the album. I haven’t been this excited about a new album in a long long long time. I was in a record store in Copenhagan and the people in front of me were asking about Daughtry’s album…hope soon that it’s DC’s album people here will be asking for.

I already have my sister’s (lives in CA) promise that she will send it to me the minute it’s released!

Of course, it’s merely an observation, and it’s not the first time I’ve noticed. It’s beside the point now, of course, seeing as they are otherwise involved with other people. It’s simply something I noticed back around Top 24. As someone said up there ^, we see what we want to see…and we keep watching. :tongue3_tb:

I pre-ordered on Amazon…maybe Amazon UK will have it? Here in Denmark I can’t order from the American I-tunes store which really sucks! You can have it sent from Amazon.com but would probably have to pay import tax.

Where I live I know they won’t sell the CD, at least not anytime soon, so I pre-ordered from Amazon.com. It would cost me the extra shipping and import tax, but that’s fine by me if I get to hold my Cookie CD as soon as I can.
I know that by the time I get it I’ll already have all of the songs in mp3, but that doesn’t matter, because I’d still want the actual CD.
I still wish Analog Heart will be released as a real CD.

As a native of Los Angeles I am all too aware that the hosts of ‘Good Day LA’ are the most annoying people on television. Not even death row inmates should be subjected to them let alone my favorite group of Idols ever but unfortunately they are the local Fox affiliate.

Having said that, they did get one thing right – Jason is a cutie pie, even in rolled up jeans. I know I’m not alone in thinking that but I suspect I am alone in not caring who Cook is dating. He can date KC, KLC, KFC and any other combination of initials he wants. For the record I’ve always thought Kim was pretty and articulate.

I’m still kicking myself in the ass about AH too. I mean I have the songs downloaded but I really would like to have done it the right way.

Am still hoping my fave AH song finds itself on DC’s album…better produced but still intact.
