FOX won the night, X Factor was up from last week, but  declined in from last year. Glee ratings declined from last week.

Fox dominated each of its four half hours last night thanks to The X Factor (7.0 rating/12 share) and relocated Glee (5.3/ 9).  But The X Factor declined by 19 percent from the first half of its two-hour installment on the year-ago evening (8.8/14 on 9/22/11) and ABC and CBS do not roll out their new Thursday line-ups until next week.  A more realistic test, particularly for Glee, will come next week when the competition will include Grey’s Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men and Person of Interest.  Retention for Glee out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of The X Factor (7.5/12) was 71 percent.

Yes. The REAL test will begin next week when the new season begins and all the shows are back from repeats. I’m a little afraid for both X Factor and Glee

    Glad XF is rising.

Hey, I’m happy for small wins. Up is nice. I’m enjoying this season of both X-Factor and Glee. Glee’s new charactere are a welcome addition.

I think the reason why last week was so low was because of competition from The Voice/AGT on Wednesday, and the AGT finale on Thursday. I think this week’s ratings are what it would have looked like if it weren’t for last week’s competition. The real test will be next week when all the shows come back.

No wonder Sarah J Parker is scheduled for next week’s Glee episode and the week after is the much hyped “break-up” episode…

  • SullyD

A repeat of Big Bang Theory scored  9.20 million? Whoa!

Anyway, glad X Factor is rising. Hopefully it will continue to rise until the live shows and keep steady for the rest of the season, kind of like last year.

That was a rerun of last season’s finale with the big Howard/Bernadette wedding. But, yeah, that doesn’t bode well for XFactor next week with BBT’s season premiere.

Awwww X- Factor is like the little engine that could. I’m not gonna start quaking at the possible decline in ratings when the new shows start up, which is really strange for me since i’m the Eeyore chick and it’s usually doom and gloom for me. I’m gonna give a little cheer for the increase in ratings it got. Who knows once we get in boot camp where we just focus on the best of the best things might pick up.

I have to salute the judges for trying their best to hype the show; with tweeting during show time.  They do put in the effort.  I still can’t comprehend with Brit & Demi in the show why it hasn’t has a higher rating.

Next week will be crazy with all the new shows. Thank you DVR.
I will spend the next weekend watching all the shows though.

Glee, meh. I’ll watch Grey’s Anatomy instead.
On Thursday I’ll dvr X- Factor so I can FF the ones that I don’t like, and watch The Big Bang Theory live. Oh yeah, I have to dvr Vampire Diaries too, but it starts to get meh too, I think.
X-Factor will have plenty of competition next week.
