The X Factor and Glee are both down from last week’s ratings. Oy.
FOX is having a bad season over all, making Glee’s numbers look better by comparison. The ratings gurus are completely confident the musical comedy will be renewed. But it’s still sad to see the show continue to fizzle in primetime. I understand it picks up viewers via DVR and VOD when all is said and done. But still.
As far as X Factor is concerned–it’s been renewed for a 3rd season, and Simon will be forced to overhaul the format AGAIN. New judges, new twists. Blah blah. I’m beginning to believe that this show cannot be saved. At least by Simon Cowell, who has shown a distinct lack of understanding for what appeals to American audiences.
