Thursday Ratings: Univision Wins The Night

Ratings via TVByTheNumbers:

Thanks to a 3 hour awards show, Spanish-language Univision (1.8) edged out CBS (1.7) for the highest rating of the night.

Ricky Martin, Pitbull and Daddy Yankee were among those who performed or accepted awards at Univision’s Premios Juventud. 4.1 million tuned in to watch the youth awards show.

So You Think You Can Dance fell 1/10 of a point from last Thursday, but stayed steady.

CBS swept the night winning in the advertising coveted demographics and with total viewers. Big Brother was up 9% versus last Thursday to a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating and 6.7 million viewers.

ABC’s Wipeout was steady versus last week at a season low 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. Expedition Impossible fell another 7% to a series low 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and Rookie Blue was down 14% to a season low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance fell a tenth versus last week’s finals to a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, but adjustments of a tenth in the finals have been typical (last week it had a 1.6 in the preliminaries too and was adjusted up to a 1.7). It will be interesting to see if Lady Gaga boosts the ratings next week.

NBC’s Love Bites tied its series low with a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating in its final telecast. Beginning next week NBC will fill the slot with Law & Order: SVU reruns.
