The Sound of Music averaged a 4.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 18.47 and tied Big Bang theory in the Demo. It was the best Thursday since the ER finale in 2009. This is a MAJOR win for NBC, especially when you consider the network’s typical Thursday night comedy block has been a trainwreck.
Glee and X Factor are up vs last week’s Thanksgiving low numbers, but that was expected. Both shows are dwelling in the basement at this point.
On NBC, The Sound of Music Live! earned a 4.6 adults 18-49 rating. This marks NBC’s best Thursday (excluding sports) since the ER finale on April 2, 2009.
On FOX The X Factor earned a 1.3, up three tenths from last week’s series low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating. Glee notched a 1.1, up two tenths from last week’s series low 0.9 adults 18-49 rating
