The ratings are in from TV By The Numbers:

On FOX, the premiere of Take Me Out earned a 1.3 18-49 rating, but was beaten in its time-period by a repeat of The Big Bang Theory. The Choice premiere did a little better, earning a 1.7 rating.

On ABC, Duets scored a 1.2 rating, down three tenths from last week’s 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and producing its lowest series ratings to date. Rookie Blue garnered a 1.3 rating, down a tenths from last week’s 1.4 rating among adults 18-49.

The FOX dating show, The Choice featuring  Cat Deeley slumming as host, won its time slot. That’s not really saying much with a rating less than 2.0.  Taylor Hicks will guest star on July 5.

Duets, starring Kelly Clarkson as celebrity judge, lost more ratings points this week. I don’t expect this show to return next summer.

The problem with Duets is that we the public are largely left out of the show. Kelly’s duet partner Jason is the best singer in the whole comp yet the other 3 judges have put him in the bottom because they’re jealous of Kelly. It’s ridiculous.
