Despite the fact that Blake Shelton cut RaeLynn from The Voice before she could hit the finals, he and his wife, Miranda Lambert have taken the young singer under their wing.

Here is RaeLynn and Miranda on June 6, singing a song they wrote together called “Lie”. What do You think? RaeLynn loses the trainwreck quality in this setting. She’s still pitch-challenged, but does it really matter? IF she can write good songs, she’ll do fine.

Watch the performance below.

You just can’t help but respect Blake, and the commitment he maintains with his artists. Honestly, that seems to be a character of all of the judges, but Cristina. Cee Lo is working with Tony Evans (Cristina’s singer) and Adam seems to have everyone appearing with him at different times.

” I. Cannot. Listen. To. Her.  Pitchy dawg!”

Yes, but she’s so very blonde.

I like the song and think she will record very well, but I have to say on my computer she is a little fingernails on chalkboard.

Maybe because she is brassy as hell?  We need women singes like that.

Is Pro-Tools part of auto-tuning?  She needs a lot of that.

Wow. That’s horrible. I love Miranda but even she couldn’t save that. The song isn’t what’s bad, it’s the singer.

    Can’t stand her voice. Sorry.

I actually like the song a lot, and there is a quality to her voice that catches my attention for sure.  I think her accent is the problem, really.  It’s so pronounced at times that it completely takes her off key and sounds screechy.  Miranda’s accent is pronounced when she talks, but she can keep it under control when she sings so she doesn’t have this problem.  A little work/polishing and I think Rae Lynn could be decent.
