Things are happening fast for The Voice season 9 winner, Jordan Smith. While season 8 champ Sawyer Fredericks seemingly continues work on his debut album, Jordan tells Entertainment Tonight that he’s almost finished recording his debut.

The singer barely has the time to plan his wedding to Kristen Denny, whom he proposed to last month. “I’ve been working in the studio like crazy,” said Jordan, who has been collaborating with adult contemporary music king, David Foster.

“We’re almost finished,” he said of the album. “I think we can expect it to come out really, really soon, which is a good thing. I’m dying, chomping at the bit, ready to get some new music out for everybody and it’s going to be happening pretty soon this spring.”

Jordan’s The Voice coach, Adam Levine, has been keeping tabs on his charge. “Adam and I have been able to stay in touch and he just texts to check in on me sometimes and make sure I’m doing OK,” Jordan said. “He hasn’t been a part of the album per se — yet! But he’s definitely been checking in.”

It will be interesting to see, when Jordan’s album comes out, if The Voice fans who downloaded his singles during the competition, are still engaged. The cover he performed on People’s Choice Awards, “You Are So Beautiful,” back in January, was made available for download on iTunes afterward and never cracked the Top 100. But with aggressive promotion from Republic–a first for them when it comes to The Voice alum–maybe the interest in Jordan can be rekindled.

Jordan is the best selling The Voice competitor so far, with 1.2 million tracks sold to date and 50,000 albums sold of his compilation CD Jordan Smith: The Complete Season 9 Collection. The Kentucky native is also the first act ever to capture both the Nos. 1 and 2 spots concurrently on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.

One thing is for sure. The singer has friends in high places. Actress Roma Downey, the wife of The Voice executive producer, Mark Burnett, has declared herself a bonafide stan.

In other news, Jordan has just signed a worldwide management contract with Sam Feldman and Steve Macklam of Macklam Feldman Management, according to Billboard.

“Jordan is such a rare and gifted artist. He has already captured the hearts of so many and he has only just begun,” Macklam said in a release. “We couldn’t be more excited to be working together.”

“The team at Macklam Feldman Management is truly unmatched and I couldn’t be more excited to work alongside them,” Jordan said. “The best is yet to come.”

With such a quick timetable, it’s an easy bet there are covers on the album, with an original song or two. What do you think? Will Jordan Smith be The Voice’s biggest success to date?
