UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – October 22, 2012 – NBC’s “The Voice” gets “Election Fever” in a three-night event in which America will vote for the first time this season to help decide which artists get into the Top 12 as the popular vocal competition series will have special live broadcasts on Wednesday, November 7 (8-10 p.m. ET) and on Thursday, November 8 (8-9 p.m. ET) — as well as its regular airing on Monday, November 5 (8-10 p.m. ET).

This will give the hit show five hours over three nights that week. “The Voice” will not be broadcast on Tuesday, November 6 due to NBC News’ Election Night coverage.

That makes “The Voice” the #4 series overall on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and the #9 show in total viewers (excluding sports pre- and post-game shows).

“The Voice” is a vocal competition show that features celebrity musician coaches Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as Carson Daly as host and Christina Milian as Social Media Correspondent. “The Voice” is a presentation of Mark Burnett’s One Three Media, Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.

LOL poor Simon. I can’t say I feel sorry for him though, especially after he tried to kill idol in season 9 to make way for his show. I think karma has caught up with him two seasons in a row now.

“@SimonCowell: I wanted you guys to be the first to know that FOX have confirmed that @TheXFactorUSA will be back next year for it’s third season.”

  • harvestmoon

So much for that “gentleman’s agreement,” huh, Simon?  Next time, get it in writing.  LOL

  • fuzzywuzzy

Where it will be a distant 3rd in the ratings compared with Idol and The Voice. lol

I wonder what kind of tweaks he will make next year, or if he will just give up on trying the make the ratings go up.

  • wkstrack

Uh oh… I wonder if the ratings for XF will just stay the same like last year when the live shows started or will keep going further down now that it’s against The Voice.

  • tripp_ncwy

Wonder what tricks The Voice producers & NBC will have up their sleeves when idol starts. I can’t feel sorry for Simon.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ACMLXLYSSX73RNYQOUZWSO2I4U Enough already!

This is all turning into the “Battle of the Songfests” or maybe the “Karaoke  Wars”.    It seems to be more about out doing each other than it is about the contestants.   btw do they still have contestants?

  • b_james

Well, one good thing for Simon is that The Voice’s live episodes typically suck.

In order for there to be a gentlemen’s agreement, there has to be at least two gentlemen involved. I would not consider a man known to publically degrade and belittle others in general and women in particular to qualify.
