The Voice 9 Top 11 Perform – Take the POLLS!

We’ve reached the that point in the competition where I just want the coaches to shut up. They’re never going to tell the truth about a performance, so why waste precious minutes? There were quite a few times I wondered if the coaches were listening to the same performance.

The Voice 9 Top 11 Performances – Live Blog and Videos

The iTunes charts are looking a little different than I expected. I knew people would like Amy Vachal’s performance, but I didn’t expect her to outpace even Jordan. Taylor Swift is a queen, so there’s that.

Jordan Smith will hit the Top 10, but it’s taking longer than usual for him. Usually, he reaches the Top 10 within the hour the show ends on the east coast.

I am happy to see Emily Ann Roberts and Madi Davis in the Top 20! Both could be in the Top 10 by the cutoff. I was a little worried Madi’s performance was too esoteric to hit a chord.

Disappointed Jeffery Austin isn’t charting better. He had the pimp spot and delivered an emotional performance. I hope his pre-song package, where he basically said “I’m a gay man, singing a gay song,” didn’t hurt him.  Barrett Baber and Zach Seabaugh’s insipid songs are charting higher. I’m sorry. That’s just wrong.

The bottom 4 look about right. America just isn’t connecting to Korin Bukowski. I expected middling numbers from Shelby Brown, but she’s tanking! Performing first probably didn’t help.  And Evan McKeel. Sigh. What could have been with better song choices.  Braiden Sunshine is near the bottom of the chart, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he avoids the bottom 2 yet again.

Now it’s your turn to sound off. Vote in the polls, and I’ll post the results tomorrow, along with predictions and final iTunes chart numbers.
