The Voice 8 finals begin next week when the Top 12 hit the stage to perform for your votes. It’s worth noting that the finals will last 6 weeks this season, rather than the usual 5 weeks. That may eliminate the brutal 3 person cut at the Top 8. NBC brass seemed to love last season’s wild card. I would expect that twist to return.

Definitely returning is The Voice Instant save. If you need a refresher, watch Carson explain how it’s done below. In the past, the three lowest vote getters would sing off for the save. The singer with the most twitter votes lives to perform another week, and the two remaining go home.
Eight contestants were eliminated Wednesday night during the Live Playoffs results show. Click to check out our live recap with video. The top 12 is presented below, with a gallery of team and group photos. See you Monday at 8/7c PM for our live blog!
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – April 8, 2015 – NBC’s Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice” has revealed the top 12 artists, all of whom will compete for the title beginning Monday, April 13 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT).
Each of the celebrity musician coaches — Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams — will have three artists on their respective teams. At the end of each Tuesday episode, at least two performers will be eliminated until there is only one champion.
In addition, during each live results show, the artists with the lowest number of votes will be eligible for the “Instant Save.” These artists will each perform a new song that represents why they should earn the save. Then, America will have the opportunity to save their favorite performer by tweeting out #VoiceSave along with the artist’s name. The singer with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week until one winner is announced as “The Voice.”
Also, viewers will be able to tweet their instant save choices from within “The Voice” official app. Fans can download the free app on the App Store or get it on Google Play.
The top 12 have gone through the blind auditions, battles, knockouts and live playoffs. Now, each artist will perform weekly in hopes to move forward and become the winner of “The Voice.”
