Someone please post an opinion.  lol… I don’t remember these names, but I thought there were some good people tonight…

    Jordis sounds different.

She’s lost a lot grit in her voice, I still remember her performance of Baba O’Reilly on RS:INXS.

Still gonna vote for her as my favorite. I didn’t want her to win her season of Rock Star, but this show where you don’t have to fit in to an existing band. Yeah, I’d back her on that.

I’m surprised Pip doesn’t hate his parents for naming him that.

There was some good talent tonight, but several of the girls sounded similar.  I like the interaction with the judges, but Christina seemed more with drawn – maybe moody?  I think last week’s show was better.

Pip is a famous character in Charles Dickens’s “Great Expectations.”  An orphan.   Literary parents?

I assumed Pip was a stage name he was using, part of that super-twee persona he’s created for himself.

There’s no way in hell those parents named him Pip.  And he’s already annoying me.  I don’t get why everyone turned around.  Pitchy, pitchy.

Of course, Jordis was my favorite tonight!  She and Marty were my absolute favorites on the Rockstar INXS show!  My fave Jordis songs “Baba O’Reilly” and “Man Who Sold the World”. And all of Marty’s songs were my faves, especially “Creep”!  She’s stll got bad nerves!  I hope she does well!

Jordis and Chris Mann are my faves, right now!

WooHoo Jordis! I loved her also on RockStar INXS. I play her Man Who Sold The World all the time.

He’s also a hobbit! Merry and Pip?

  • GeauxSaints

I too play “man who sold the world”, it is a permanent ipod song. As well as her version of the Nirvana song.  I love Jordis, and will actually watch this show as long as Jordis is going to be on!

What a blast from the past – Jordis Unga! She’s matured. Feel like listening to all my RockStar INXS mp3s right now in honor of her appearance on the Voice. Although Marty Casey was my absolute favorite on that much-missed show, Jordis had some great performances. Also loved her father’s outfit.

I absolutely LOVED Jordis! I also love to listen to A Man Who Sold The World, she has so much potential.
Really hope Team Blake wins with her! I hope this is her time to shine now.

I’m willing to give the Massone guy from Boston a second listen.  He’s got the Robin Thicke thing alittle and I like that – alittle.  Like Chris Cauley and heard him on the radio this am here in ATL.  He sings at his church and the dj goes to his church.  Seems like humble, humble guy.  Did I mention humble? Didn’t watch the show the girl was on.  The Dad is priceless.  She’s aight.

My ignorant point of reference for Pip is 1990s Bulls – Scottie Pippen. How much farther from that reference could he be?

Weak night Grammy’s night so much better.

I have to go back and watch videos. I haven’t associated names with voices and faces yet. There were some I found interesting.

Don’t feel bad.  I had to go back and take a quick look at the recaps to refresh my memory.

I kind of think last week’s show was better in terms of overall talent.  I did like a few of these people last night.  I’m going to have to go with Chris Cauley.

Jordis on Team Blake. Good choice, Jordis. Hope it works out to something for her. Loved her on Rockstar and still love her, though her voice — or maybe just her approach to singing? — is a little different this time. She has such an intelligent way with a song.

Completely underwhelmed last night- I would choose none of the above.

I am surprised Blake doesn’t get everybody he wants. The ones who don’t choose him must not have watched last year.

To be honest, I liked a number of singers but no one was a major standout for me. My favorites were Pip (bowtie guy..Team Adam), Sarah Golden (“You and I”, Team Cee-Lo), Chris (“Grenade”..Team Adam) and  Jordis (the last contestant, Team Blake). Initially I wasn’t crazy about Erin Martin (former model/Team Cee-lo), but I watched her video again and I really liked her. Her voice is unique and she’s also very cute. I think her charisma will help her a lot. I also found James (Team Cee-lo)  a lot more likeable after watching him again.

#teamjordis- as so many others have written loved her on Rockstar INXS and loved her last night.

  • tomr

Tired of “screamers.”  Chris has what it takes.

Yes!  Pippin the Hobbit.  Loved “Lord of the Rings” – new two-part Hobbit movie in the works.  (Maybe we should start a book club – lol.)

I like Jordis too.  But I am may be one of the few who really like Geoff because of his strong vocal.

I can’t watch The Voice because after the conversion from analog to digital TV, I can no longer get NBC where I live.  I did watch most of the performance clips, though.  Still need to watch James and Erin M.  I liked a lot of the contestants — at least enough to want to hear and see them sing again.  Whether their voices are distinctive enough, whether they are good and interesting performers, and whether they have that so-elusive charisma, remains to be seen.  But I wouldn’t write off anyone just yet.

I liked Jordis Unga a lot.  She’s probably my fav from this episode.  I also kinda liked Katrina Parker, but I don’t see her listed in the survey?  I have some reservations about Katrina’s range, but found her tone interesting.  And I also kinda liked Pip.  Don’t shoot me!  *ducks and covers*  (And no, he’s no Haley.  But I was intrigued enough to want to hear more.)

The one person I didn’t like was Chris Cauley.  What a snoozefest!  He bored me to tears.  A great song like “Grenade,” and he didn’t connect with me at all.  But I wouldn’t write him off, either.  He was very, very smooth.  And I generally don’t like singers who over-sing, so that is a plus in my book.  It’s just that I kept waiting for some passion or variation, and didn’t get it.  With good coaching, though, he could be a contender.
