I’m not sure how I feel about her.  At least I can say she isn’t a Gaga copycat.

Cee-lo is almost asking “is there how I pull back the button”? He did 0 efforts to convince her.

And I do not understand why people keep picking Cee Lo and Xtina.  Do they want to win this thing?

Sarah was OK, I probably wouldn’t have turned. Surprised she chose Cee-lo, a lot of surprises in mentor selection this season.

He’s the best one so far tonight.  I wasn’t jumping out of my seat but not bad.

Pip had my attention before he sang New Orleans, very good.

Is he better than the Harvard guy from last Monday? I wish he had been picked :(

Never confuse a Crimson (Harvard guy) with a Yalie, or vice versa. Dez (the cute one from last week) was a Yalie. Which IMO made him even more awesome. I liked him better than this kid…but this kid was okay. 

Yeah, I’m hoping that the coaches don’t fill all their slots like last year and have to bring back a few people that they rejected for a second chance.

Adam’s not that safe of a pick, either.  He picked Javier as the one to go all the way and threw everybody else on his team under the bus.  So, if you’re not his golden child, good luck.  You really don’t have much of a chance.

OK the second contestant with a parent with a terminal disease.  Having lost one parent I can safely say I would not have the strength to get out there and perform. 

And Adam won last year so my guess is he won’t win this year. Just sayin’

I don’t know why but I have a feeling Blake would have sabotaged his sales pitch if one of the other judges turned around for Erin.

Nothing too special for me with this guy on Sweet Home Alabama.

I think this guy can sing but nothing really jumps out at you when you’re listening to him.  

I turned for him, but it didn’t matter…  :)

The contestants are too weak this episode. It looks like Idol S11. 

I liked about 80% of what Katrina did quite a bit, but the other 20% the vocals felt weak and/or off. Maybe with good coaching…

Obviously her day job. I wonder what I’ll find when I do a google search?

I think they stuck 80% of the talent on the first show. Nothing tonight strikes me as having potential to make the live shows.

I guess I will eventually find someone to root for. The Pip guy was ok but nothing spectacular, he has a chance of winning though. Erin (warrior princess girl) is beautiful, her voice is so strange.

2nd odd voice in a row that got multiple judge selections. I wonder if the judges are beginning to notice a drop in talent.

I haven’t watched the Voice much. These “surprise” invitation presentations seem like the phoniest thing ever.

She’s a friend of Perez too.  This gets more interesting by the minute.

I liked Malden guy, but maybe only because he’s a townie.  I love it when a Boston accent makes the big time; feels like home.

if the coaches don’t turn around,then their opinion doesn’t matter,don’t even wait for the chairs to turn around when the song stops,thank the audience and then just walk off the stage,dont even listen to the coaches,that’s what should be done

I really like Chris Coley.  His voice kind of reminds me a bit of Kris Allen.

I know Geoff’s family. I like old school so I really like him. He sings Georgia on My Mind with so much soul & power! I hope he gets to sing that on the show!

I love Chris’s speaking voice, maybe he could rap or something.  I do not understand why Blake did not turn around for him.

She didn’t sound good.  I doubt that the judges didn’t know about her past on Rockstar.  Just like with AI, I’m sure that they are given notes on the contestants, and know what the producers want.  They had to know that she’s capable of doing a lot better than she did in the audition.

Be chosen is not about a different voice. It’s about a good song choice, a good (and maybe original) arrangement and a good (maybe original too) interpretation.  Jordins’s voice is similar with many people I have heard before. So any of the contestants. Man, there aren’t many different voices out there. Human’s voice has a limit. If u want a very different voice go search for an alien.

She did a very good version of the song and she killed. Just it.

Good episode. I can do without random shots of Cee Lo mauling that poor cat.

There was a drop off in talent this episode but I still enjoyed it. Partly because of the judges & partly because the talent is still pretty good. Glad I stuck around for Jordis. 

A few unusual voices tonight; looking forward to how they’ll perform with songs given later by their coaches.  Not as many talents as last week; this week they show more of the rejected.  No train wreck though; also interesting showcase on what type of singing interest all judges.

West Coast here and what do I read?  Jordis Unga!!  I guess I am watching now. Her version ofThe Man Who Sold the World, Imagine and Knocking on Heaven’s Door were unsurpassed moments for me on RS that season.  Good on you, Mark Burnett!

Why do people keep using the “plant” term in this show?  The Voice TELLS you they invite singers to audition. Plant means sort of sneak pro to me.

I was hoping nobody would turn around for the tattooed lady…she really didn’t sing very well.  Jordis is back!  Her voice is quite different…her tone was always rich, but her high notes used to crackle…really solid now.  JD Fortune had Rockstar INXS sowed up from his first appearance.

Actually what would be the difference between Juliette Sims and Jordis Unga? They are both rockers with a powerful voice and gorgeous.

So Adam has two solid male singers Chris and that Lucca guy from last week. One of these guys is going to lose out, which is a shame.

I love that older contestants are allowed to try out.  It is far more inclusive because of the age spread and that is nice.  I am on team Geoff McBride for the night. 

I think Tony Lucca will end up being Adam’s chosen one so then he can chuck the rest of his team under the bus.

I was just starting watching my DVR, but just want to say that I feel that the judges are cheating when they look at each other to see the others’ reaction before they press the buzzer.

IDK? It baffles me as well. We never hear the whole story, not even on AI!

Plus, I just want to watch the judges and watch some good performers. I can’t get all caught up in who did what and to what extent in the past.

I actually kind of liked Erin. She doesn’t have the range or the power, but it’s definitely unique. I absolutely hated James. Really nasally. Hard to listen to imo. Chris was great, and Jordis was one of my favorites from Rockstar. I thought she was so gorgeous back then with her dreads so her look will take some time to get used to, but her voice is still awesome.

I love Cee Lo and his big fluffy kitty! I’m actually liking Christina a lot more this year. She looks better and is having more fun, but at the same time is taking this seriously. The judges have formed a nice, playful relationship with each other.

So far, it seems that Christina and Adam have the best teams.

I don’t get why 3 judges turned around for James Massone, I thought he was horrible. Adam was the smart one not to turn around.

We have no idea what Jordis may have said, MJ. It’s a Mark Burnett show and what is said does not necessarily get on television. In fact, my bet is that ususally it does not. Where is the drama in telling us she is a voice competition veteran at this point? Thanks to cracker jack journalists and bloggers, I don’t think it’s going to be a “secret” very long.

I liked her look more back then but her voice has kept the edge, I think she picked a great mentor and I can’t wait to hear what Kelly thinks about her.

Mostly underwhelming.  They need to open it to fresh new untried people off the street if they hope to reach Idol’s success.

The judges on this show entertain me.  I like Cee-Lo and his cat, but the dirty old man thing really does creep me out.  He needs to reign that in.

I wasn’t overwhelmed by last night’s talent, but I could see some potentional.  I’m not familiar with the Rock Star girl – I only watched a couple episodes.  But, she certainly seems talented.  I would have never turned around for the squeaky-voiced ex-model.  And, I have a feeling her constant posing will start to bug me.

I’m not a fan of tatoos in general, although I’ve seen many that I thought were quite beautiful.  There’s a limit to how much body-art a person can have before I start going into judgey mcjudgerson mode (I know – obviously this is a character flaw I have – but I can’t help it).  But honestly, my mind just draws a line at neck tatoos.  They creep me out a lot. 

Probably a lot of the losers on the 2 Rockstar series have tried out for this show.  I can’t think of any that were in Jordis’ class.  Read above that Lukas Rossi tried out and was rejected.  I thought he was the worst singer in the final group, season 2, and yet he won…shows how much I know about rock.

I agree almost 100% with this, did NOT get what the hype was about Pip, his voice was pleasant enough but he seemed to be flat a lot in the song.  Have to listen to the last note again, but it made me go GAHHHHH! It sounded flat.

Girl with tatooes was disturbing, such a pretty girl, why would you do that to yourself?  I don’t get it.  And her voice was nothing special.  Guess it helps to name drop and have fame whore friends.

I was getting creepy Whitney Houston vibes with the pretty model turning singer til she sang.  Lol, Adam summed it up, I didn’t get it.  Sounded like what the love child would sound like if Eartha Kitt mated with a goat who had a speech impediment!

Actually, I think the judges are ALL wearing the same outfits.  It seems like they do the blind auditions all in one day.  I was just complaining about this to a coworker…why can’t they anticipate this and have costume changes?  It’s boring for the viewer, not to mention, annoying, having to stare at Christina’s exploding chest.  Anyway, during the previews for next week I noticed that all the judges are STILL wearing these same outfits!  It drives me nuts!

dude, the talent is soooo bad, I can hardly get through one entire episode with out turning it off.

I thought this episode was particularly weak. I thought Jordis shined, but mostly in comparison to how mediocre the other singers were.  No one had perfect pitch and everyone’s range seemed relatively limited. Hope they’re saving the talent for the next episode.

Sarah Golden was mediocre at best IMO. Elley is pretty painful to listen to.

Just watched the entire program today.  Most irritating thing…being “surprised” when Carson shows up.  After all people, the camera person is already in the room.  Do NOT like Jordis…I don’t like being screamed at.
