REMINDER: Tonight The Voice FINALE begins at 9 pm ET. If you need to catch up, an hour long clip show airs at 8 pm.

It’s The Voice 10 FINALE week. FOUR singers vied for the crown last night, but only ONE can win. Who will it be? I’ll attempt to make a prediction in a field that has been pretty evenly matched all season, and also look forward to hearing what YOU think.

Last season’s results were pretty cut and dried. Jordan Smith was the clear winner, hands down. Season 10 will be a little harder to predict. Also: Your last poll results of the season!

iTunes Charts as of 12:04 pm

There wasn’t much movement in the Top 10 overnight, except that Adam Wakefield’s “When I Call Your Name” dropped from #8 to #9 and Hannah Huston’s When I Call the Shots rose from #9 to #7.  Laith’s original “Morning Light” rose from #7 to #6.  While Adam knocked Justin Timberlake out of the #1 spot, “Can’t Stop the Feeling” held fast to #2.

#1. Adam Wakefield – Team Blake – Lonesome Broken and Blue (original song)
#3. Hannah Huston – Team Pharrell – Every Breath You Take
#4. Alisan Porter – Team Christina – Somewhere
#5. Alisan Porter – Team Christina – Down That Road
#6. Laith Al-Saadi – Team Adam – Morning Light (Original Song)
#7. Hannah Huston – Team Pharrell – I Call the Shots (Original Song)
#9. Adam Wakefield – Team Blake – When I Call Your Name
#13 Laith Al-Saadi – Team Adam – White Room
#21 Alisan Porter & Christina Aguilera – You’ve Got a Friend
#22 Laith Al-Saadi & Adam Levine – Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight
#42 Adam Wakefield & Blake Shelton – The Conversation
#79 Hannah Huston & Pharrell Williams – Brand New

ETA: Just want to add that the iTunes votes are cumulative beginning with the live shows. But here, there are no clear front runners in that race. Adam and Alisan both have had 5 songs make the Top 10, Hannah and Laith had 3. By contrast, Jordan Smith dominated iTunes the entire season 9.

Favorite Performance

There was no runaway winner in the Favorite Performance poll last night, which is a testament to the strength of last night’s performances! Alisan Porter’s “Somewhere” and Hannah Huston’s “Every Breath You Take” come out on top.

  8. Laith Al-Saadi – Team Adam – White Room 4.42%

Favorite Duet

Pharrell and his terrible live vocals tank his duet with Hannah. Oh well. Alisan and Laith Al-Saadi are the clear winners here.

  1. Alisan Porter & Christina Aguilera – You’ve Got a Friend 47.56%
  2. Laith Al-Saadi & Adam Levine – Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight 33.39%
  3. Adam Wakefield & Blake Shelton – The Conversation 12.87%
  4. Hannah Huston & Pharrell Williams – Brand New 6.18%

Who Will WIN The Voice

You believe Adam Wakefield will win The Voice, but it’s Alisan who SHOULD win The Voice. These are not surprising results. However, the WIN results between Adam and Alisan are closer than I was expecting.

  1. Adam Wakefield – Team Blake 47.23%
  2. Alisan Porter – Team Christina 41.84%
  3. Hannah Houston – Team Pharrell 8.65%
  4. Laith Al-Saadi – Team Adam 2.27%

Who SHOULD WIN The Voice

  1. Alisan Porter – Team Christina 50.42%
  2. Adam Wakefield – Team Blake 23.45%
  3. Hannah Houston – Team Pharrell 19.21%
  4. Laith Al-Saadi – Team Adam 6.92%

Grade The Episode

A solid A- for last night’s show.

  • A 46.17%
  • B 43.06%
  • C 7.04%
  • D 2.07%
  • F 1.66%

PREDICTION:  All four four finalists landed at least one song in the Top 10. Alisan had the pimp spot, Christina Aguilera AND Adam Levine pulling for her, famous people tweeting support for her and the show doing everything in its power to break the girl curse…and I still don’t think it was enough.

Adam’s original song shot up the chart so fast and so far, I can’t help thinking he’s got this. I also suspect there are a large swath of voters who are immune to the “charms” of famous people endorsements, and just like what they like. Southern bred country singers have traditionally fared well on The Voice. Plus, Adam’s presentation over the course of the season was extremely consistent–he revealed who he was as an artist from the start, and continued to reinforce his identity as the competition progressed. Alisan had weeks that just didn’t work for her, and she never really established a clear identity. Competition reality shows favor men from the south or midwest. Women from Los Angeles are at a distinct disadvantage. Here’s how I think the Final Four will shake out:

  1. Adam Wakefield – Winner
  2. Alisan Porter
  3. Hannah Huston
  4. Laith Al-Saadi

Laith, who needed to be wildcarded into the final, and whose coach wasn’t even willing to fight on his behalf, will come in last.
