I turned on the Ellen Degeneres Show this morning to catch Crystal Bowersox, and whataya know! An all-star group of peeps from The Sing-Off started off the show with a performance of Michael Franti’s smash hit, “Say Hey (I Love You)”

Watch members of Committed, Street Corner Symphony, The Backbeats and Talk of the Town sing (and beat box) their hearts out, after the jump.

Video after the JUMP…

Oh, I just love them all :)

What a great surprise! I love them all, too, tierbee, and I’m especially happy that I finally loved the Backbeats last night. They redeemed themselves for all the overwrought stuff early on.

MJ, seriously, you should put up a link to the Sing-Off page on iTunes. People need to know that their songs are available – they are just soooo good, everyone that I’ve checked out.

Yay! I hope I’m home when Ellen comes on today. She’s 4 PM in LA.

I love the Sing-Off and the groups this year are amazing. It’s also amazing how the different groups so easily work together on a … group sing. Just wonderful.

Yay! I love these peeps. I seriously think that Joanna should pursue a solo career. She has so much charisma, plus she’s talented. She’s the major reason why I’m glad the Backbeats made the finale.

lili_anne7, I liked the Backbeats from the beginning, but they needed that experience of working together. Joanna is a powerful singer. I hope she can go beyond this show and succeed!

    an afternoon delight! thanks MJ!

They are all just terrific. I’m gonna hate to see this show end.

  • Allison

    That was a nice surprise!
Jerry & Joanna sounded good together.

This was fun to watch. The Sing-Off has become my favorite competition music show. Little to no drama, smart articulate judges (plus Nicole), and honest to goodness real talent. That said I hope that SCS pulls out the win, I just love Jeremy’s voice.

the best show on tv right now. everything AI should have been. glad it’s catching on, and hope its star keeps rising.

I think it’s refreshing to see this type of entertainment and hope that Nigel and Crew are paying attention! I suppose any female could fulfill Nicole’s part, but she seems sincere! I am looking forward to Monday!

I would be happy with a SCS or Backbeats win.
