I love Billy Joel. This gets me really excited to see this on Friday. Clark Bros singing She’s Got a Way? I think I’m gonna die. And the big band with Tell Her About It – I bet they killed that, it’s right up their alley.

Glad Rocket is gone, though my 10-year-old daughter will be bummed. Why couldn’t they have chosen an all-girl band that actually rocked?

Not sorry to see the [s]Muggs go, either. They are fabulous musicians, but the lead singer’s refusal to get a front man/woman who can carry a tune shows incredible hubris. Let go of your pride, dude: admit that your voice isn’t just an acquired taste and find someone who can sing.

She struck me as a typical supportive parent who is awestruck that this is happening to her kid.

Aw, that’s good to hear. Hopefully then she’s not some wigged-out Momma Rose pushing her kid on stage. Eh, those kids look too well-adjusted for that to be true anyway.

Thanks Caffiend. That was a great recap.

Some of the bands chose interesting songs. I never would have guessed the LOD would chose “The Stranger”, or that Sixwire would do “She’s Always a Woman”. On the other hand, you just knew that Dot X’s 3 was going to do “Pressure”. I can’t wait to see the Clark Brothers. I really like “She’s Got a Way”.
