Never thought I’d enjoy a Lil interview, but she just won points from me for giving props to my favorite Idol! Haha, I’m so immature. But yes, I admit, it’s all about David Cook in my Idol fandom.

Now, Michael Sarver on the other hand, is not winning me over. What is it about his interviews that I find so hard to watch? To think, I once thought I liked his personality on Idol, if not his singing and weird singing faces. But now? I’m chanting, shut up shut up, every time I hear him speak in an interview. He just goes on and on for every question and I find his voice and tone and mannerisms so irksome, even when I find no fault with the content of his answers… he’s worst than Danny IMO, cuz I usually dismiss Danny as being moreso an idiot than a d-bag. But Sarver straight up strikes me as a d-bag. I find Danny more tolerable when he’s goofing with Matt and Anoop than when he’s with all serious with Sarver. Sorry. End rant.

Adam has the most adorable personality and expressions. I’m going to have to go back and look at TOMT Randy comment. At the time I thought that was weird phrasing on Randy’s part. I don’t think he meant it in any way, tho.

Lee Mowat was concerned that a song Unplugged was becoming too techno and he said pleeeeeese don’t do that. He said the song had too much to say to become techno. Can you get a tweet to Adam concerning this. This concerns me.

Second on Amazon, Adam should be made aware that Amazon is marketing/pre-order the HiFi record as No Boundaries put out by Wilshire. To me that steps on 19/RCA toes using the title NO Boundaries and HiFi is doing a sneeky using Wilshire and not the original album title – just to confuse people. This could definitely confuse buyers. It’s a pre-order.

My question only got answered because that Dish of Salt lady requested fan questions for her interview and I sent her one. SHE’s the one that asked the question. I doubt Adam would ever even see my Tweets, he probably gets a hundred every minute.

i just rewatched tracks of my tears. i don’t think randy meant straighten it out in a gay vs straight way. i think he meant Adam changed his looks, hair, clothes etc since he had just done ROF. kind of from one extreme to the other . which was strategic on his part. And i think Adam didn’t even remember it, that’s why he said no comment.

Loved this, but I’m so tired of the hi-fi stuff. I hope he doesn’t answer another question about it and nobody asks him about it because all it does is prompt another press release from hi-fi and gets them more publicity. I’m sure she’ll get that question eventually (if she hasn’t already). Several reporters already asked Kris if he was going to make Christian or Country album (because you know all white Christian boys from the South are destined to go that way).

Well, it might be. But maybe somebody is trying to ask whether, when there are videos for his songs that include romantic stuff, whether he’ll make an effort to include same-gender couples along with mixed-gender couples, as some people are doing now, like Theo Tams, for example. If that’s the question, then I think it’s perfectly legitimate, really. And kind of interesting. Though I would have asked a lot of other questions before I’d ask that one, I guess. But I’m not a gay activist.

Adam will record many tracks, and less than half will end up on his first album, so I wouldn’t worry about too techno stuff. I hope Adam’s video comes out shortly after his first single. That is what is going to skyrocket his career. I can hardly wait.

Asking if Adam will make gay music videos — WTF does that mean, anyway? Do people want Adam to kiss a guy on his video. We all know, if we didn’t before, that Adam is gay. So whatever he does in a video, his sexuality will be part of the context. But I liked Adam’s answer — that his music and videos will be about sexuality, period.

Lil started out as one of my favorites, and then quickly plummeted down to the bottom of the list. But she just redeemed herself in my books with her shout-out to David Cook.

Sarver: I never got why he made it to the semis, let alone the Top 10. I can’t believe he’s on the tour and Alexis Grace is not.

Since Megan got way too much attention on the show, I was not feeling too sorry for her listening to all the questions directed at Adam. She may have gotten some questions or given some answers that were simply not deemed worth including in the video.

sr4mjc I had the same problem. I got his first tweet and then nothing! What I ended up doing was unfollowing Adam and then started following him again. I got his latest tweet so hopefully I will get them all now. Try doing that and see if it helps.

Adam just twitted that he changed his twitter account from therealglambert to adamlambert. If you were a follower for therealglambert, you don’t have to do anything, now you are following adamlambert instead. For new followers, seach adamlambert and you’ll get the real Adam.

Lola, try searching adamlambert (one word, all lower-case, no spaces, etc.). Twitter can be schitzo sometimes. When Kris first started his I TOTALLY had the name right and I kept getting, “Does not exist.” Finally I linked through someone’s post on this site, otherwise, it still wouldn’t have worked.

UGH! i am having the same problem as those not getting texts from adam’s twitter. i get them every once in a while (just so happened to get the “RIP MJ” one and that was how i found out about MJ…weird) but i haven’t gotten any since. before the MJ one i had gotten one and then it broke.

ive tried deselecting mobile updates and then turning it back on. ive tried unfollowing him and then following him again. i can’t figure it out. it’s driving me bananas. i thought MAYBE if you had twitter open on your browser you wouldnt ALSO get the texts (not totally logical but i ran out of ideas)… but i did not have twitter open and most definitely did not get the last two tweets.

I think Adam did remember it, that’s why he immediately started giggling and raising his eyebrows in response. It was very cute. But I totally agree that Randy didn’t mean it in a gay vs. straight way, which is why Adam just smirked in response instead of looking pissed. At least in my circle of gay friends, whenever some straight person tells us, even completely innocently, to “straighten that out” or even to “go straight” (while driving) we notice it and jokingly respond that we’re too queer to straighten anything out, that we’ll go forward but not straight, etc. It’s a bit of an in-joke I guess but every gay person I know responds the exact same way.
I also saw Adam smirk on the original airing and it cracked me up. He got it and responded just like every other gay person I know, so I felt kind of a weird bonding through the tv set. YMMV!

Rolling Stone sure loves Adam. They even fit in a Michael Jackson related article to Adam. I teared up reading that, tho, picturing Adam hearing the news when he was singing WLL and wondering what was going on.

While I’m extremely excited about the full list of Adam’s tour songs, I also better understand what he meant by ‘I have no filter’… compared to Kris from whom we now only know 2(or 3?) out of 5 solo. Not sure which way is better…

I hope Adam does sing five solos, but not likely. I know Kris fans will be up in arms cuz Kris has five solos and no duet. Adam has a few short songs: Mad World is less than three min and even WLL little more than three min. Kris songs are longer: Hey Jude is almost 8 min long,Heartless 4 min.

That’s why Adam’s 5 songs are widely assumed to include his duet with Allison. Because Kris has said several times that he is only doing 5 songs. Now, if Adam does 5 solos and a duet and Kris ends up doing 6 songs instead of 5, that’s another thing all together. But I can’t see Adam agreeing to upstage his friend by doing more songs than Kris — I think he realizes that wouldn’t be right, no matter what his fans would want.

I have a *sense* that either:

1) Adam is going to have another song, and Kris will get one more as well that segs into NB (poor Kris); or

2) That’s it for Adam. (I am going with the latter.)

This is b/c the winner should and does get one more song than the runner-up. Granted, I would love an entire concert devoted to Adam–The Adam Lambert Experience, coming after the album is released (I hope)–but it’s only fair that Kris get one more than Adam (yes, I just wrote that, b/c it’s true).

Adam DOES get a medley, after all. And it’s great that he does WLL followed by SR (I assume), just like on the show, BUT WITH BOTH SONGS IN THEIR ENTIRETY.

The “No Boundries” being offered is NOT the HiFi cd. It is his recording of the winners song from AI. His and Kris’ versions were both released.

Nope, Matt and Anoop did not get any questions asked because none were submitted for them. There were only a few questions submitted and it wasn’t a widely known thing to submit your questions.

Also, I doubt the tour promoters are thinking only of Adam, especially since depending on the state/area, there are more Kris fans, or even yes.. Danny fans, etc.

There’s also more tour videos on AI’s official site where Kris also mentions going on tour for his album! woohoo! it better not be like David Cook where he always seem to skip over my area!

You are missing the point. Every season, the person who wins AI gets the most songs and/or the most solos. David Cook had more than David Archuleta, Reuben had more than Clay, etc. They are NOT going to change it now. That would make the tour a farce and be totally disrespectful to Kris — and I’m sorry, but they cannot get away with that. Adam is NOT bigger than this tour. I love Adam, but the fact is that he hasn’t proven himself in the music business yet and doesn’t deserve to be treated as if he is bigger than the tour itself. Adam understands that — he is just happy to be touring and having a chance to perform live in front of huge crowds.

As I say, if Adam turns out to be as successful as many expect, he will have plenty of opportunities to headline his own tours and do as long a set as he wants. But right now, he is the runner-up of AI, and shouldn’t be treated any differently in terms of how many songs he gets on this tour than the runner-ups in previous years got.

I agree. Though I love Adam to equal Kris in terms of the # of songs they are to do in the tour, Kris needs to be one song ahead of Adam just to be fair. Kris should be the one carrying the show. But the way they are promoting it, it’s Kris and Adam. Nevertheless, the group’s final song (Don’t Stop Believing) has Adam hitting the last note (the show closer?). So I guess that will compensate everything.

Yeah, I liked the little bubble videos, too. I had never seen one before. I saw Danny’s last night before I went to bed. Then, when I got up, I saw that Matt had posted one. I, too, think it would be neat if some of the other idols would start doing this too. Matt said it was pretty easy. For anyone not knowing what a bubble tweet is, it is simply a little homemade vid tht pops up on screen in little bubble.

As far as Danny’s bubble tweet goes, as I said earlier today, while I think it’s sweet of him to want to reach out to his fans that way, I don’t think he know the can of worms that he is opening….he’ll learn.

I think Don’t Stop Believing is actually supposed to close the show. Because in those videos they have up on the official AI site where the 10 are talking about the tour, Adam (for one) said they were rehearsing the finale that day — and it looks like these videos were filmed on tour press day (judging by the fact everyone is wearing what they wore in some of the videos I saw from press day) — and they were filmed rehearsing Don’t Stop Believing that day.

Also, we don’t know who’s involved in some of the other group numbers.

As for Kris’ set, I was trying to figure out what order he would do his songs. I figure maybe he will start with Heartless and end with Hey Jude?

I don’t understand why that question about him representing his sexuality in music videos seems so outlandish to some here. If Britney, Christina, Madonna, Justin, etc. etc. are freely representing their sexuality in their videos, why shouldn’t Adam?

I know, Theo was great (*isn’t his album release coming up really soon?*). And all through AI8 and the rabid “is he/isn’t he” kerfuffle, I couldn’t help thinking back to Theo’s run, and how his sexuality did not even make so much as a ripple in Canadian media. We Canadians as a whole are just much more nonchalant about that sort of thing I think – “Oh he/she is? [shrug] I thought so, so what?”

I hope that’s just a mistake on Amazon’s part. Because that’s just sinking to a new LOW trying to trick Adam fans into thinking it’s the RCA album.

SparklesATL, the album for the AI group is being distributed by Walmart exclusively which includes Kris/ Adam versions of No Boundaries. The one on Amazon, specifically says Wilshire, not 19/RCA. So it is HiFi weasling again. Anastasia, I checked on your site you suggested and looked at the number of views, and I am hoping not sales, but they are big. I can’t believe they techno’d most of his songs and found some others and made them also electronic versions. Adam is screwed every which way. His voice is used and people are making money left and right and he gets nada. Life sucks and these leeches suck the life out of him the most.

Adam’s medley will be three shortened Bowie songs, so it should be equivalent to one song. Hey Jude won’t be shared by the group; that is Kris’ closing solo. The closing group (all ten) song is Don’t Stop Believing. I think the first half will close with a bottom five group song.The song was posted but can’t remember the name.

I haven’t heard of any other duets other than Adam and Allison, except for possible dueling piano w/Matt and Scott. So it is possible Scott could have two solos and a duet, and Matt would have three solos and a duet.

Kris should and will I think, get 5 solos to Adam’s 4 solos and one duet. Kris won, he should have the most solos. And besides, one of Kris’s songs will be No Boundaries, so he’s already getting penalized out of a real song.

Excited for Adam’s set and as I understand it, he’s going to be closing with the Bowie medley. Cool.

Yeah; his album came out up here on May 18th I think? I dunno about the US though…All I know is that IT. IS. INCREDIBLE. There’s a song on it called Wait For You; OMG. I cried. Seriously. It’s so unabashedly desperate, and wanton…I love it. And it relates to the sexuality in music issue with Adam too; I think (and a lot of people agree) that it’s about being in a relationship with a man during the craziness that is Idol.

I sent something to Amazon yesterday when I saw it. They solicit info to ensure accuracy and ask for cites for your suggestions. I gave them RCA’s website and artist list. But, I’m sure they’re rolling their eyes.

Technically, I assume there’s no problem with advertising Hi-Fi’s release, but there is in using the picture. It makes the ad misleading and deceptive to consumers, imo.

It was kind of expected. And remember gokey’s followers includes non-fans of gokey who just registered to his account in order to get news about the other idols who had no twitter before (like Adam, Kris, Allison). Danny tweets a lot. Guess it’s his way of getting connected to his fans since I don’t hear any news about him except when he tweets.

Lil was an early favorite of mine who plummeted, and although I am an Archie at heart I have to give her props for being so impressed with David Cook, because he really did give off that aura. Go Lil! No matter what anyone says I still have faith that you can be a knockout if you work things out really well.

Adam is treating twitter like a status post on MySpace or Facebook I think. It’s like another PR to him.

I think Kris and Adam are the only ones getting major news coverage lately, which is the way it is EVERY year…..they are the top two. And all of the idols have non-fans following them, including Kris and Adam. I like Kris, but his singing doesn’t do a thing for me, but since I’m interested in the idols as a whole, I follow him. It’s just funny that people seem to act like the other idol’s followers mean “something,” except, of course, if it’s Danny. He came in third, for god’s sake….he has fans.

I think the number of followers for ALL of them would be much higher if they had just recently had an interview with Ryan Seacrest and had their accounts announced on his show. That is when Adam’s shot up like crazy. The idols with the most media coverage right now are going to be the ones whose numbers climb more at this point in time….there names are out there everyday, sparking people to look them up. I agree wholeheartedly, and I do not think that they would do that to Kris. I really believe that singing time will be allocated based on elimination order, with Kris getting the most, then Adam, then Danny, and then Allison….as it should be.

Adam/Kris/Allison are as thick as thieves. It was obvious during the season and in the post-season interviews. The only reason Allison seems closer to Gokey now is that Adam/Kris are not around as much right now. Adam/Kris are doing way more press and traveling than the others.

I don’t believe he will have to back to Nashville to sign. I know that multimillion dollar business deals get closed via fax with the paper work originals fedexed later, so I assume that would work with his deal too. I was disappointed the first time I worked on one, I thought it would be this really cool dramatic thing, but it’s not. Just a buncha lawyers pushing paperwork around. I hope we get news about it soon though!

Yeah, I think this is what will happen. With Adam’s “grand entrance”, I don’t think it’ll happen in the middle of SR.

And my impression was definitely that Adam was closest to Allison, even above Kris, possibly (with the little sister comments, the multitude of hugs on the show, etc.) And I think he singled her out as his “best friend” on the show. But I agree that Allison always seems so playful and fun with all of them.

Looks like the ones who flew into Portand have the day off. Wonder why they flew in there so early? Adam, Allison, and Kris get very few days off. At least Adam has a cool nightlife.

His album is really good, kind of what I want Adam’s to be like (not in terms of music, but in variety)

There are tracks like “Wait For You” and “Manhattan Blue” which are beautiful and heartfelt, then all of a sudden there’s “I Ain’t Cryin”, where the first line is “Move out, get yourself a cat…” =)

And yes, “desperate” and “wanton” would be a perfect debut album for Adam.

In season 7, contestants 3-10 had three songs each. 5-10 sang group song. With Archuleta four solos, including a medley, and Cook five solos. 1-10 group song finale. No duets.

In season 6, it was totally confusing looking at the program. Lots of duets, trios, even quartets. Didn’t like that format. I’m glad this season there are more solos.

Oh, and BTW MJ, it’s Sam Sparro, not Sparrow. I made the mistake of using sparrow on Twitter and it wasn’t a good idea….=)

Seeing him perform live is really an incredible experience. His voice is spectacular, but just watching him play is spellbinding. Can you believe he is totally self-taught on piano?

Absolutely beautiful! Of course, for those interested, there are some faster, funkier songs on the album too, but these live clips were from a performance with just Theo and the piano.

And just one more thing. I’m not sure if you’ve had the pleasure of meeting him or not, but if you haven’t, you might be interested to know he is super warm and friendly. Such a nice guy!

I have met Theo; I was randomly saw him on the street recently, and I proceeded to scream and gush to him about how much he means to me and felt like a complete idiot. And he just kind of laughed it off and signed a couple things. And I am following him on twitter…doesn’t really tweet much though =). And I hadn’t seen that link before; he’s SO. FRIKKIN. GOOD. I love that song…
