    I love this song and I laughed out loud during the video, it’s so weird.  I think it should be obvious now that she’s using this song as a joke, why else would she have dancing plushies, look directly at the screen and mouth “I don’t know?!” when they dance by her?  Apparently she’s trying a lot of musical styles on this new album, and I look forward to it.  Sometimes a fun song is just a fun song…they don’t all have to be deep.

    How the song came to be:

    Swift said the song was born while she was in the studio with
    songwriters Max Martin and Johan Shellback and a friend of her ex’s —
    she declined to name names — walked in.

    “He starts talking about how he’s heard we were getting back together
    and that was not the case,” Swift said. ”When he leaves, Max and Johan
    are like, ‘so what’s the story behind that?’ And so I start telling them
    the story of break up, get back together, break up, get back together,
    just, ugh, the worst.”

    “Max says, ‘this is what we’re writing. We’re writing this song,’ and
    I picked up the guitar and just started singing, ‘we are never–’” she
    continued. “It just happened so fast. It was so much fun.”

    Allegedly, the ex is Jake Gyllenhaal and the friend is Adam Levine, whose Maroon 5 also worked with Max Martin and Shellback on their latest album. Maybe that’s why the guy in the video looks so much like Adam since in a way he inspired the song.

    Well she did it again; managed to pull out a song which will generate $$$.  I never thought Max Martin will come out with a sound like this but it works!!!
