SYTYCD 13 – Top 10 Revealed – Live Blog and Performance VIDEOS

Join me here tonight for our live blog and the Top 10 reveal!

Round 2- Hip Hop with Tabitha and Napoleon
Maddie watches them rehearse. Tabitha thinks they need personality and connection with their partners. Dougie is excited to be working with professionals.

Robert and Comfort are judging their teams first.

Team Comfort: Tehani (the vomit girl) Team Robert: Josiah (contemp)
Tehani is incredible, and props to Josiah for doing a pretty good job out of his style. Tehani would be a contender if she made the top 10. That backflip was cool.

Anya and Sage/Gavin and Logan
Both groups seemed to do OK. It was very brief, so hard to tell.

JT and Phoenix
Both ahve something to prove. JT is out of his depth. Phoenix is in her style, an honestly, it’s not great. Tehani was better. I’d cut both of these two. I appreciat that they tried, but what I saw of the other 4 in the montage was better than these two.

Team Robert:
He pulls Gavin forward and tells him he’s not connecting with him, and sends him home. JT, Sage, and Josiah advance.

Team Comfort
Logan and Phoenix are pulled forward. She thinks Phoenix’s spark went away. She asks them both to dance for their life. Anya and Tehani are safe.

Logan goes first. She’s a breakdancer. Not bad. Not mindblowing either. – Watch Hip Hop Part 1 VIDEO

Phoenix is up. Phoenix’s solo is better, though she could really use better faces. She looks terrified, but her dance was legit. Based on that, I’d pick Phoenix.

Comfort saves Phoenix and lets Logan go. Both girls cry.

Montage time! Daniela and Emma dance. Kida and Jade dance. Ruby and Romeo dance. Jake and Avery. Dougie and Briyana.

We don’t see all the cuts. We just move on to Contemporary.

Round 3- Contemporary with Travis Wall
Travis says he won’t treat them any differently than the adults he works with. The Team captains pump up their remaining three.

Team Katherine goes first. Tate, Avery, and Quinn are her final three. Quinn has been killing it so far, we see in a montage. All three were pretty good, but I felt less from Avery. I’d keep Tate and Quinn. Katherine has a dilemma. She likes all of them. Quinn is cut. Tate and Avery are the final two.

Team Sasha and Team Robert hit the floor. Both contemp teams are pretty great because they’re in their style. It was the end of the road for Ashley on Team Sasha and Sage is out on Team Robert. JT made the final two. Really? – Watch Hip Hop Part 2 an Contemporary VIDEO

Tappers are up! Emma, Ryan, ad Lucas are up. Lucas struggled in Broadway, but nailed hip hop. his studio doesn’t offer a contemp class, so he’s out of his style. Gaby is looking for maturity in their dance. Ryan is SLAYING THIS. If she cuts him, she’s missing out. Lucas is the one I’d cut. Emma was just a little better. Ryan SLAYED that. He’s clearly trained in contemporary. Gaby pulls Lucas forward, and tells him she’s proud of his confidence, but she’s letting him go. I don’t remember Ryan’s audition, but he’s a dark horse.

More teams hit the stage. Team Jenna, Team Comfort, Team Jonathan, Team Joshua, Team Fikshun, and Team Paul go next.

Jenna cuts Dougie. Jonathan cuts Victoria. Lennox, Trey, Anya, and JJ are all cut from their respective teams. –  Watch Contemporary Part 2 and More Cuts VIDEO

Down to 20 dancers. Each All-Star now has to pick one. They have a one-on-one chat with their kids before the decision, and they get to see them dance solos. We cut to commercial with All-Star Joshua just sobbing.

Nigel addresses the All-Stars.

Team Katherine
Avery says her favorite thing is that that she gets to do all these different styles. We see a montage of both Tate and Avery killing it. Katherine says her gut tells her to pick Tate. Avery is eliminated. Katherine tells Avery she’s going to do big things.

Team Sasha
Jordyn. We don’t see the other person. We are just told Sasha picked Jordyn.

Team Fik-Shun
Kida. Again, we just hear that Fik-Shun picked Kida.

Team Jenna
Joshua and Jake are the final two. We see highlights from both. Both have been evenly matched throughout. Jenna picks Jake. Joshua is cut.

Team Robert
Robert is torn between Josiah and JT. Robert picks JT.

Team Joshua
Romeo and Sheaden? Josh picks Sheaden.

Team Paul
Ruby, who auditioned with her dad, and Sophia are the final two. Both girls took Academy week “by storm”. Sophia looked defeated before the announcement.

Team Gaby
Emma or Ryan. Emma’s the better tapper, from what I can tell, but Ryan’s a better overall dancer. For some reason, Gaby picks Emma. First decision I disagree with.

Team Jonathan
Camila and Daniela. In The Heights yo. Jonathan keeps Daniela.

Team Comfort
Phoenix vs Tahani. Phoenix has struggled with choreography. Comfort says she wishes she could put them together. Comfort picks Tahani, Phoenix is cut.
