I’d kind of like to see the show. The whole point of the show is that Effie is the better singer but Deena is more beautiful, so when Deena becomes the lead singer and Effie is eventually pushed out in the power struggle, the audience is outraged for Effie. Syesha is an outstanding vocalist; the actress playing Effie would have to be even more outstanding for the dynamic to work.

I concur, Re Syesha, Trenyce, and Nadia, They could be a really good
grouping.They have quite big charisma quotient among them.Does’nt
Trenyce also do song writing as well. Hee!! How about and off the cuff name…..SHE FINE X3

Syesha sounds fantastic! Her voice is perfect for this role.

On the other hand, there are some fashions that should never be worn again, whether they fit the period or not, and, boy, those caftans are one of them..

I think the Supergroup is a wonderful idea. I am a BIG fan of Trenyce’s and think it sucks that she was never signed. She’s a wonderful singer and an awesome performer. She, Syesha, and Nadia, not a bad idea! Somebody get on that right away!

i don’t know about syesha, but the guy who is playing james thunder early (the eddie murphy part in the movie) is FANTASTIC…he has been in hairspray and tarzan and is just an incredible performer…the production is worth seeing just for him

Very cool idea! I love Nadia and Trenyce too!. Nadia has the hip, edgy persona, Trenyce is the sweetheart, and Syesha can be the beautiful ice queen, with the golden pipes. Supremes take Two.

Good luck, but I don’t think Syesha will make it as a solo artist. I would like to see Syesha, Nadia Turner, and Trenyce form a super group. That would be cool and get a lot of interest. The new Destiny’s Child!
