sealily1c, I am the one who asked and the reason I asked is because I have the CD and the lyrics are included and clearly read ‘I’m a flip’  three different times in ‘Pick U Up’ . Now, I have decided it really doesn’t matter what he means by it since no one else seems to know either. It seems to be open for interpretation

Consider the lyrics in context:

“All my life I’ve been waiting, Passed my time Procrastinating
Now, It’s a trip, I’m a flip And flash right through the scene.”

Performing live is where Adam is going to shine. All of the speculation about whether his sales will drop next week (they will) don’t bother me at all because I KNOW this is just the beginning for him as far as sales go. Once he starts touring word of mouth will fill seats and filled seats will sell albums.

Sorry to cause confusion, consternation.

Anyway, regardless, I think Pick U Up is my third fav, after Loaded Smile (so Sexy) and Fever, which I think will the monster
hit for Adam that Lady Gagag predicted it would be (on some radio show)

I am hoping Adam will tour in Spring. Started saving into fund after I saw the Idols concert in Hamilton. I want to make a trip out of it…hope to get to opening night wherever that might be! Or maybe L.A. That would be awesome. I’ve never been there.

After listening to the song several times and reading the lyrics to try to figure out the meaning I have come to the conclusion that for this particular song the swinger/whore definition from urban dictionary is probably right since he opens the song with “Jumpin’ out the window, Movin’ on, Groovin’ on, Which way will the wind blow”.

I’m okay with that definition because it’s just a fun song with some amazing vocals mixed in. I love this album and am so glad he is selling so well. My favorite songs are “Soaked” and “Fever” but the whole album is listen worthy. I believe when Adam starts touring his sales will happen without question.

Not trying to start a war or anything….no idea what he means either : )

Actually, it is written “Imma flip” in the liner notes and I do believe that “Imma” is text & Twitter shortform for “I am going to…”.

e.g. Imma smile when Adam is on Ellen.

Susan Boyle is just another in the long line of ‘fads’ . And people will defend their decision to participate in the fad for a myriad of reasons, and really all the reasons are acceptable. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. But mob mentality is a proven phenomenon’ ¦and Susan won’t be the last singer to fall into this social mind set.

Same could be said of Adam Lambert.

Don’t worry, I won’t post every time I hear Adam. It just caught me by surprise and I really like that song! I’ve been hearing LLD(which I also like) a lot, so it was neat to finally hear Adam.

Wow, the grandmas and grandpas know how to use a computer and download music?

This Gram went out the next day and bought a computer and learned. I can download with the best of them now. I had to buy an external hard-drive to hold all my music.

She barely sold 130,000 by then and I doubt she’s selling much more than 2,000 a week since. Then there was this press release sent on 11/12 from Reuters that listed the combined album and single sales for notable contestants:

* David Cook (2008 winner), 1.3 million albums, 3.7 million digitally downloaded tracks

* Jordin Sparks (2007 winner), 1.2 million albums, 8.4 million digitally downloaded tracks

The album has also topped the Australian and Irish charts and is also set to be number one in the United States, Canada and New Zealand, Sony Corp’s Sony Music said on Sunday.

In the UK alone, she sold 410K units. Add her estimated US sales, and she’ll have sold over 1 million easily. Wow.
