Survivor 33 Millennials vs Gen X Week 11 Recap and Live Blog

A new episode of Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

The episode begins with the tribe returning to camp. They’re all still reeling from tribal council. Hannah is still awestruck; she can’t believe they actually went to a rock draw. David is disappointed that his hidden immunity idol went to waste. He feels like he is in the minority with Ken, Hannah, and Adam. He believes the other five will vote them out one by one. On the other hand, Zeke is thrilled things went his way. He’s confident he will be in the Final 5 and that David will not win the game.

On the morning of Day 31, Ken learns about the Legacy Advantage that was willed to him by Jessica. Jessica told him she had an advantage already and that she can will it, but he’s glad she kept her word to him. Ken is happy about receiving the advantage, and he hopes this will help him win the million dollars so he can give his daughter a better life.

It’s time for the reward challenge. They learn it’s the loved ones’ visit. Jeff brings out the contestants’ loved ones, including Sunday’s husband, Bret’s dad, Jay’s sister, Hannah’s mom, Adam’s brother, David’s dad, Ken’s brother, Zeke’s dad, and Will’s mom. As the families reunite, Adam reveals to his brother his advantage. He can steal a reward, but he lets him know he will not use it since he doesn’t think it would be the right thing to do. After all the contestants reunite with their family members for a few minutes, the challenge begins. The challenge involves racing through an obstacle while being tied around the waist by a rope they have to untangle along the way. Sunday and Will are struggling, and Ken is in the lead. However, Ken gets stuck under a post they have to dig through, allowing Jay to take the lead. He gets to the final obstacle first, but Zeke and Ken are right behind him. However, Jay finishes first. Jay wins reward! He’ll get to spend time with his sister back at camp and enjoy a barbecue. Jay is allowed to pick three people to come along, and he chooses Will, Sunday, and Adam. Jay explains that he already promised Will and Sunday ahead of time. And although he’s been feuding with Adam, he appreciates the fact that Adam didn’t use his advantage today.

During the reward, Adam asks his brother how their mother is doing. He learns she hasn’t been responding well to the chemotherapy. Adam is very emotional to hear this news, but his brother tells him that his mother is proud and excited that he in on Survivor. Later on, Adam thanks Jay again for choosing him. He also gives his advantage away to Jay.

On the morning of Day 33, David points out to Will how there is a meeting down at the beach with Zeke, Jay, Bret, and Sunday. Will notices the group sitting together by the beach. Will is concerned about Zeke, and he thinks he should be voted out tonight. Will does not want to be used as a goat. He wants to play the game. David is glad to hear this, and he is hopeful that Zeke will go home tonight.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. They will have to hold onto two handles tightly to keep the tension going. If their grip lessens, then the metal bar in between the handles will fall. If their metal bar falls, they are out of the challenge. The last one left will win immunity. The challenge begins, and David drops quickly. Hannah and Will drop theirs next. Bret is the next one out of the challenge, and he is followed by Sunday. Already only four people remain. Zeke is the next one out as the challenge progresses really quickly. Adam, Jay, and Ken are the last three left. Ken is the next one to drop, leaving Adam and Jay to battle it out. Jay drops. Adam wins immunity!

The tribe returns to camp after the immunity challenge. David, Adam, Hannah, and Ken agree to vote out Zeke regardless what anyone says. They’re hopeful that Will will be on their side tonight. Zeke’s group, however, feels like something is amiss. They think David seems to be too comfortable. They fear David might have a hidden immunity idol, so they agree to vote out Ken. Meanwhile, Ken tries to bond with Will to get a read on him. Will thinks working with Ken is “excruciating,” but he wants to make this move against Zeke. During their discussion, Will also reveals to Ken that Zeke’s group is throwing his name out there. This makes Ken nervous, so he confronts Jay about this. He throws Will under the bus. Will is now angry with Ken, and he wants him gone now. Ken’s allies are mad that Ken ruined this plan since Will has no incentive to work with them anymore. Zeke’s group is now concerned about David possibly playing an idol on Ken, so they wonder if they should vote for Hannah again.

It’s time for tribal council. Right away they discuss Will’s plan to flip against Zeke. Sunday makes a remark about Will wanting to not be seen as a little kid, and this bothers Will. He is mad that people treat him like a little kid and he wants to be taken seriously as a contender. There is discussion about how Will will vote tonight since he’s currently the swing vote. David says that if Will votes with them, then that will be something he can put on his resume. Bret says they are just building Will up to just vote him out later. Jay says that Will should just go with his gut, and Will says that he has always trusted Jay. Afterwards, it’s time for the vote.

Before Jeff reads the votes, Adam plays his hidden immunity idol. He plays it for Hannah.

The first vote is for…
