    So today is love or hate Blake day essentially. Sanjaya is gone and so we move on. :) I just got home to an angsty cellcert on the BB. Connection made tho and all right with the world. Not sure technology is so great for humans.

    Thank you Mary for the Joni Mitchell. Oh, gawd – takes me back such a long ways. My favorite “A Case of You!!” – I could drink a case of you, darlin, and I would still be on my feet!! I so remember being obsessively in love and feeling that song down into my gut! Sweet memories!

    Here’s a vid of Tay’s encore at The Beacon. But check it out, just when you think he’s gone, he comes back out again. After the concert, Brian Less told a Boogie Boarder that Taylor has never done that before. Dude didn’t want to leave the stage. LOL

    It’s funny. I remember when Big Yellow Taxi came out I was around 8 years old. I heard it on the radio and thought the lyrics were “The cave paradise put up a parking lot.” I kept trying to imagine what a cave paradise would look like and why they would need a parking lot. I eventually figured it was something like the Flintstones. :laugh_tb:

    Oooh, I like Boz Scaggs. He came out with a comeback cd several years ago called “Dig”. I thought it was really good, but it came and went unnoticed.

    Sammy – The sound was not great on that vid – It does capture the energy of the last minutes of the show, tho.

    Cochem – Seems like tonight’s show was short – only an hour – was it at a casino?

    not in a casino..he did 14 songs total…not much tagging…the cellcert didn’t connect until 3rd song about 910pm and ended just after 10…

    By the way have any of you heard the new song from maroon 5 à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Makes Me WOnderà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ > Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s awesome. I bet Blake likes it. I can see him making music like that. JMHO.

    Completely agree with all of this. I have all 3 of those on my iPod and they are all great. :) And yeah, love Maroon 5 too, and I agree their music would fit well with Blake’s voice and style.

    JJ – if it doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t matter why people DONà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢T like him, why are his fans always asked to explain why they DO?

    I know what you mean, Sarah. It does seem like people are always questioning how anyone could like Blake. I mean I don’t like Lakisha at all, but I can get why some people would.

    Amusing note on The Apprentice, Trump was asking the past contestants on which of the two remaining people he should hire. One guy said he had been doing a lot of thinking about that and said…. “there is a young man named Sanjaya that I hear is looking for a job, I think you should hire him!

    There should never ever be any questioning here of why somebody likes an Idol–to each his own. On the other hand, this is a place where folks can declare their DISLIKE of an Idol without fans of that Idol becoming defensive.

    I think the the key here is to not make it personal.

    Starting off a post with “I don’t get why…” is not a good idea, because what you’ll get afterward is a ton of posts from peeps explaining exactly WHY they like the Idol in question…and it all becomes very tedious, don’t you think?

    In fact I think we’ve beat this dead horse (Blake Sux/Why I love Blake) bloody. So let’s move on, shall we? Thank you.

    Hallelujah MJ! I’m gonna impart my own little “I don’t get why” here,
    I don’t get why people can’t understand music is subjective…
    Anyway, I’m totally jumping on the Blake train. I think he has a lot to offer. He’s very unique. I could totally see him making a pretty kick ass album and having even better live performances.
