ITA. I hate the plants (Joanna) even more now.

It also bugs me that these people do not stand out with the thousands who endure rain, wind, cold, extreme heat, etc. These so called, last auditions of the day are sometimes arranged in advance. You didn’t see them in the cattle call.

Also, how can they be really nervous if they have almost been guaranteed to go to Hollywood. When I watched the first season, I never imagined this could happen. :mad_wp:

I’ve said it before – Adam’s success on the show will largely depend on how much he’s able to toe that line between letting his freak flag fly and being himself but also being approachable to the “median” AI viewer. If he’s really watched all the seasons and knows how to play the game, he knows that. So he’ll be interesting to watch. Plus I think he’s got one hell of a great voice and I can’t wait to hear him tackle the challenges of theme weeks – cause with this list, I’d say that unless he majorly tanks in the semis, he’s in the top 12, no questions asked.

The girls as a whole are probably stronger, but there are about 4 really strong guys on this list (Adam, Brent, Danny, Scott). FWIW, I’m basing “strong” on either talent, ability to build a fanbase/have an existing fanbase, or both. I can see what Kara and Simon were talking about in their pre-show press about having several really strong guys, and looking at the list, my mind immediately goes to those 4.

Yes, Simon wanted Kyle in the top 24 and was all whiny pissy baby about it. Most fans didn’t really care one way or the other. But like mj said above, there were a lot of fans (I was one of them) who were upset that Colton Swon didn’t make top 24.

Almost every former David Cook fan is willing and is supporting him.

What??? I’m in a MSN group of David fans. Not single one of us liked Adam. I can’t see ^that happen at all.

Anyone remember David Brown from season 4? He had what may have been one of my all time favorite auditions, he became an early favorite going into Hollywood and the judges loved him. He totally choked in Hollywood but the judges gave him another chance and put him through to the semis (Randy even tried to get him to talk about what may have went wrong in the chair episode). Then he choked even harder once the semi-finals started. Proof that even the most fantastic audition doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t necessarily mean much once pressure hits.

I remember him, he was adorable and he had a beautiful voice, but choke he did, as I am sure that some of the favorites mentioned did in Hollywood this year. A good audtion nor a few you-tube performances are not enough to get me on or off anyone’s bandwagon, as a matter of fact there was only one person that made me want to see his videos and that was Anoop. Don’t know what that means, but I’ve not seen anyone elses, so pretty much blank slate for me in Hollywood.

I do have one question about the wildcard. Must it be from those not chosen out of the 36, or could Leneshe and Felicia be chosen?

Colton Swon was a country/rock singer who made the Top 50. There was lots of music out on the net from him, and he developed a fan base before the Hollywood Rounds were aired.

I don’t think Simon cared one way or another, but there were a lot of disappointed fans when he didn’t make the cut for the Top 24.

I personally, am very disappointed that Deanna didn’t make the Top 36. I really enjoyed her voice. In her little video clip over at AI.com she mentioned that this was the third time she had tried out for AI, so she may not try again. Boo hoo.
