Maybe Will = Michael Johns, heh.

I actually think Will = Danny. He’s a terrific dancer (though he doesn’t seem quite as good as Danny, based on the few times I’ve seen him dance), but he really hasn’t connected with the audience yet – despite the overt praise of his very real talent by the judges. Same thing with Danny last year. The judges had to save him several times early on, as I recall. He finally did begin to connect toward the end of the season, though not enough to win. Sabra was a fan favorite from very early on. Last year, the audience vote alone selected the final winner: No “Dancing for your life” in front of the judges. I’m not sure if that’s how they’ll do it this year, too.

Chelsea H. is a terrific dancer and I see her going far. It seems Comfort fills the bill for the hip hop girl.

The PCD were better last time around and didn’t look as much as hookers as they did last night. Just awful.

Heh, I was secretly hoping to see Comfort and Tree in the bottom, so Tree could be kicked out and Comfort could dance a kickass routine and completely save herself (because I don’t remember having seen her full audition, which was supposedly awesome). I think the sole reason Tree would last on this show is being carried through on his partner’s likeability.

Anyway, the group number was awesome. I hope Wade becomes a regular choreographer for the show sometime soon; I heart his choreography.

And as Simon would say, the PCD were “atrocious”. Besides, I thought these shows were supposed to be family-friendly? It seems family-friendly TV is no longer family-friendly, these days.

Last night’s results show truly remind me why I love this show as much as I do. It really is about the “talent” as much as any competition-based reality TV show can be. Yes, Nigel does love the “personalities” of the dancers, but ultimately, the dancing trumps all. Part of me expected Matt to get the boot over Jamie since Jamie seems to be the only straight “heartthrob” type this season, but Matt clearly danced the better solo, so he was spared. Although I don’t see him lasting much longer unless he steps it up.

Regarding Kourtni’s partner (Matt??), the tall one. I think he has fabulous form if you just look at his legs and leaps. However, I agree with Nigel that his head is very stiff. Compound that with a smile that also seems to plastered on. Jamie, from a distance, reminded me of Patrick Swayze. I would have preferred for him to stay.

The most popular couples right now, are Katee and Joshua and Chelsie H and Mark. I expect them to go deep in the competition.

I completely agree with this. Although I have to add that Twitch is clearly the most popular “individual”. To my ears, he had the loudest crowd reaction in the intro by a long shot. Plus, he already had some semblance of a built in fan base by trying out last year.

My guess with regard to voting numbers, is that “Twitchington” is equally as popular as these other two couples.

Kudos to Joshua and Katee. She had a really crappy edit in the choosing of the top twenty show, and she kept up with Joshua in his specialty. I think she could have been hurt by that negative portrayal, but they got a little lucky with a great routine and used their abundance of talent to knock it out of the park.

Chelsea H. is a fabulous dancer and an even better partner. If the choreographers can continue to use Mark’s quirkiness in a positive way, I believe they’ll go far.

i split my points with the boys because to be honest they are all kind of blending into one for me, too many contemporary similar looking white boys! Can’t tell them apart yet and I knew one of them annoyed me but couldn’t remember which one. But I am happy with 15 pts )))

And Wade Robson’s choreography was great!! Just wish they could have left Nigel tied up!

In the end, I ageed with the choices.

Loved loved loved the opening number — they could have left out bug-eyed Nigel. Enjoyed picking out Mark in the group — I’m still trying to decide about him. I loved bo-rap, enjoyed the first pairs dance, and now I’m trying to decide what’s what with his personality. It’s hard to pick out a summer boyfriend!

Matt surprised me with his solo dance. He wasn’t stiff at all. It was really beautiful. I don’t know if he can translate his style to the competition demands but I see why they kept him around another week. Having said that, I was really hoping that Jessica and Matt would be voted off so that Will and Kourtni would be partners. Maybe they will end up together at some point because I don’t think Jessica will be around much longer.
