I had 10 pts on Jessica. boohoo. I thought Chelsea did better in her solo than Comfort did. I don’t get the Comfort love. Yay that Matt and Kourtni are safe!

I’m not a huge Chelsea fan, but her solo was far and away the best of the three girls. I noticed that Nigel didn’t try to say anything had to do with the solo tonight when it came to the girls. Comfort needs to wake up and get her head in the game, because once again, she underwhelmed in the solo.

I was sooo hoping to see the end of Thayne and Comfort instead of Twee and Chelsea. D’oh!

Although I think we all think that Thayne and Comfort will be B3 next week (and probably out), who will be there with them? Everybody else is kind of a favorite. I guess Matt/Kourtni and Will/Jessica. But I suppose ya never know.

Still… I just can’t see Joshua/Kaytee, Mark/Chelsie or Twitchington hitting the bottom anytime soon. Not sure where Courtney and Gev figure in, but they seem to be pretty well liked, too. If that’s eight of the top ten, then I want Matt and Will as the last two. Screw equal numbers by gender!

I loved Dom and Hok’s dance routine! It was wild!

The dance routine was awesome. I have mixed feelings on the results. I too was not impressed with Comfort’s solo and I think she should have went home tonight instead of Chelsea.

I feel bad for Chelsea’s abrupt dismissal. I’m glad she’s gone but it startled me the way there was no polite compliments to anyone, just all business.

Mia’s dance was a little too freaky (too Wade?) for me tonight. I like being able to tell who’s who at least. Was Mark the centerpiece again tonight? Mia lurves her some Mark, I think. (Me, too, so that’s okay with me.)

If anyone watched Project Runway, Kat’s dress reminded me of the dress that was made of the Reeses Cup liners. I actually liked that dress better than Kat’s.

I thought the Disco number was good, so I was pleased with the results. I knew it was Chris’ time to go home. He seems like a nice guy, but there is a lot of competition this year!

Now is the time to see if Comfort will show the potential the judges think she has! I am betting she will do it too, MN Sue.

I wish Jordin would find a new stylist. Poor girl looks lost in the clothes she has been wearing.

Ya know, I don’t think it’s Comfort’s potential as an all around dancer that’s keeping her around. Nigel needs her spunk and sass on the show, as well as her hip hop. The other girls have maybe one personality between them.

Oh, and Jordan needs to stop looking like she’s off to a semi formal high school dance. Jeans would be a welcome change of pace.

So, I think it was definitely time for Chris to go tonight. But, if I had been the judges, I would have sent Thayne home for the perma-grin alone. It’s gone beyond creepy, into truly terrifying.

Dom spinning on his head – YEAH!! Okay, sorry, I love me some Dom. Hey, I’ve figured out who actually is the best female hip hopper they’ve ever had on this show – it was the girl in Quest.

I believe Comfort is somewhat good, but I’ve seen a plethora of hip hoppers who are better. So, she can go next week. I won’t miss Chelsea T. I should point out though that I think she’s stunningly beautiful.

Matt so far out-classed those other two guys tonight, Nigel did indeed owe him that apology.

Cat’s dress was a wee bit distracting tonight, but she could probably wear a burlap sack and I’d still think she was beautiful. Speaking of fashion mistakes, I’ve noticed a pattern with Mary now. Bizarro outfits and older lady bar-fly hair for performance night, then perfectly normal look on results night. Weird.

Speaking again of fashion mistakes – that is at least the 3rd time I’ve seen “Jason” Sparks on tv recently in a dress that makes her look 3 times her actual size. Who is dressing that girl? And, was she lip synching (I’m really asking – I couldn’t tell)? That was all around not good for me.

Oh and PJ – after watching again while actually paying attention – I have to agree with you. Kourtni did indeed have the best solo of the girls for me tonight. That was the first time I was kind of impressed with her.

I’m glad chris is gone and i thought it was sweet when comfort jumped into his arms as the credits rolled. chelsea leaving was no biggie. so we have a new couple: thayne and comfort. i wonder how they will do. :rolleyes_wp:

Did Dom have more hair than usual tonight? I swear you can’t miss Hok and at frst I couldnt pick out Dom – I was looking for a guy with a headband or hair a whole lot thinner. I thought that guy next to Hok is really great but when is Dom coming out, then I saw got closer to the TV and saw that adorable face. They were the BEST tonight.

AZIdolFan, I thought it was cute when Comfort jumped into Chris’ arms at the end of the show as well. That’s the most affection or chemistry I’ve seen between the two of them so far, they never seemed to quite “click” together for me. I kinda thought Comfort’s leap was one of joy to be rid of him, lol. But I don’t think she’s long for the show herself. I would have given Chelsea another week and kicked Comfort to the curb. I find her solos unimpressive. Also, was it me or has anyone else noticed she gets quite a bit of camera face time during the group numbers?

Comfort and Thayne? That should be interesting. Maybe not in a good way.

Add me to the list – Jordin definitely needs a new stylist. I don’t know any 18-year-olds who wear dresses like that. Besides, they really aren’t flattering. As I remember, she had quite a few fashion misses when she was on the show, too.

Is Chelsea cross-eyed? Something about her is off and her voice is annoying but I think she should have stayed and Comfort get the boot. Im in agreement with Treeboy, buh bye.

Thought for sure I had the twenty points in the pool after the solo dance thingy, I had Comfort to leave, and Chelsea T’s solo was very impressive. I liked her personality and her hair was always perfect..she should stay just for that.. :biggrin_wp: Comfort is very one note to me, her solo seems identical to last wk’s. Kinda like Chris, but picked him to leave this wk, the boys are just too fierce and despite his lovely dancing, he is unfortunately chorus line material.
Not thrilled about the opening sequence, the costumes were too bulky and I missed seeing the faces of the dancers. Hok and Dom’s piece was all kinds of awesome, the song and the choreography were streamlined, punchy-loved it

Agree with Chris leaving, the girls were a toss-up for me, didn’t matter which one left. I was just happy it caused a new partnership to be made.

Who wrote this blech that Jordin is singing? I am not the world’s biggest Jordin fan and think she basically won because TPTB didn’t know what to do with the season, buttttt….. She did win and really should have gotten better material for her record. She has proven she can sing a grown-up song with No Air (although she will over dramatize it every time on stage) so why couldn’t they have given her better material to sing. Dressing like she is a perpetual prom date doesn’t help either.

I sure didn’t think Chelsea was going to be leaving last night. Definitely think Comfort should have been the one. I cannot figure out why Nigel is working so hard to keep that girl in this thing.

Well, I’m not sad about the results tonight. Let’s just hope that Perma Thmile (tm Hisaki) and Comfort get the boot next week and then we can have ourselves a REAL competition!

Well, the start of ‘One Step at a Time’ works, and I thought Jordin sold it until the unnecessary, redundant, screechy vocal gymnastics took over and ruined everything.
So it really didn’t matter what she wears. But it does matter that TPTB ignores the long term future of one of the healthiest vocies ever to emerge from Idol.

And Cat can wear whatever she likes because she sets the standard for ‘hosting’ a show like this: not too compliant to the judges and always respectful of what the contestants are going through.

I don’t know much about dance, except for disco and Will owned that routine. I don’t care if he has a personality or not..

Also really impressed by Katee who is so athletic she could play second base for the Mets, but I keep forgetting who her partner is. Help me out here, I know his name begins with a ‘J.’ Is it Jason, Justin, Jacob??

I’m not sure about Comfort’s athleticism. Most hip hoppers at least have some athletic moves (handstands and flips), and Comfort’s routine have become boring because her feet remain planted and she just does some arm gymnastics. I know I am generalizing, but Comfort if you are the best hip-hop dancer ever, can you show off your tricks? And if the only trick you have is popping and moonwalking, you need to go!

My daughter and I screamed into our pillows when we heard that Hok and Dominic would be dancing. That dance was so much better than the opening number, which I found very distracting because of the dark stage and dark costumes. I wish some of the dances wouldn’t be so random and have a little synchronicity going on.

I honestly wasn’t surprised at all that Chelsea was the one to go out of the three girls. Her technique isn’t as good as Kourtni’s, and her personality has been seriously fading, whereas Comfort’s is all out there. For me, out of the three guys…they are all interchangeable, so I really didn’t care at that point, though I was hoping that we would get someone to leave which would mean we would get a new couple. Honestly, I think all 3 of the couples in the B3 last night need a bit of a mix up of the chemistry for either member to have a chance. Thayne has more potential than Chelsea on the show, Comfort has more possibility than Chris…and IMO Kourtni will make it farther than Matt, unless he finally SERIOUSLY loosens up some. He’s got the technique, but I don’t find him enjoyable to watch. Sorry to the Matt fans.

I was really hoping that it would be Will and Jessica in the B3 this week instead of Kourtni and Matt though. I really want to see Will with a different partner. Jess is okay, but her confidence continues to fade, and she is not improving. She needs to seriously step up her game in MAJOR ways, in order to even be seen on stage next to Will. She feels like a wallflower to me at this point…just decoration. I rarely notice her, other than when she royally screws up. I have a feeling that they will be B3 again next week.

Aww…looks as though I’m all alone in my love for Thayne? He and Mark are my two top faves, though I can’t precisely say why with Thayne…the permagrin actually annoys the heck out of me, too. lol I think he reminds me of Benji a little, which helps, and I just adore something in his movement. I only wish he’d been partnered with someone other than Comfort. Unless they get hip hop next week. heh. Thank god treeboy is gone!

You’re right about Comfort! I hadn’t noticed before, but last night it just jumped out at me. Comfort does absolutely NO hip hop ‘tricks’. Where is the spinning, and bouncing off the floor moves? She doesn’t do anything too extraordinary. The boys can blow her away.

I know this is not a popular opinion but last night with Comfort I saw a little of Doms type of personality. In her solo, in her type of dancing she did really well, hit it well. Chelsea for some reason irritated me more than Comfort, her facial expressions, maybe just her face but you have to connect with the public and she just didnt(for me at least). I dont know but Comfort was the lesser of two evils for me. I think Chris brought Comfort down in the bottom three where Chelsea AND Thayne took each other down. What I look forward to is, seeing the poppers or the ballet dancers grow and get really good in another style. So, for that reason I am interested in seeing how Comfort progress’s with this because the B dancers are the ones in the past, like Hok and Dom that really amaze you with how well they can be out of their own comfort zone. In a just a few seconds it is hard to get a bunch of jumps and spins and standing on your heads in so I believe she chose to do other techniques in this dance for your life and obviously it worked because she is still there and Chelsea is gone. I really really loved Chelsea in her first dance but not so much in the rest

Matt really stepped up last night, I became a fan of his.

The problem with Comfort is she does no spins. Sara had more tricks last year than Comfort. I’m guessing that Comfort has ballet and contemporary in her background, but I would not compare her at all to Dominic and Hok who are extraordinary hip-hop dancers. But even in partner dances, Hok was terrific. I loved Comfort’s jive and even last week’s contemporary jazz dance was okay. But the problem is that she has been labeled as an awesome hip-hop dancer and I’m not seeing it at all. She had 2 times to solo and show her stuff, but it was not amazing. I agree that the girl on Quest last night was tons better!

Oh double Hell NO was I comparing Comfort to Dom and Hok in THAT way. That she is any where near as good as those two, she has not shown that to me yet either. Just her style will be interesting to see if she can accomplish the other categories. She is no where near a favorite of mine, just the lesser of two evils as I said. My favorite still is Joshua and for the girls I am leaning towards Courtney C more now. Still love Twitch and really loved Mark and Chelsie on wednesday though. I would like Comfort to amaze me along with the rest. I watch this show to be entertained and look forward to the “moments’ it can bring and just hoping maybe we will get some from her or she gots to go too.

AND I really think that the dance for your life is more of a nice filler for the audience to view than to give the judges a reason to change their already made up minds on who is to stay or go. They have seen all dancers in the past and know what they can really do. So, even though Chris or Chelsea pulled it out on the solo, the judges already have in their minds eye what the rest have got in them from the previous weeks leading up to this. That is why they hold the option to save someone rather than letting a really good dancer go the way of, say an Idol with the least amount of votes?? I think that Nigel changing his tune on Matt was a manipulation to save face because he had to have been deaf or blind to not see that Matt is gaining in popularity versus the rest. Yes, I totally think Matt had the best solo last night but if Nigel had not taken notice of his popularity with the girls he still would have given the best soloist a pink slip last night but I believe Matt is going to stay around awhile especially if he gets down into his dancing more as Nigel told him too.

There have been dancers Nigel’s sent packing with a snarl when they admitted to not fully preparing for their solos, no matter how good they were. If they don’t put everything the judges know they can into that solo, they’re gone, but if they all do? Then it’s all about their history on the show and who the producers want to remain to keep a balance of dance styles.

That’s Ryan Conferido, from Season 1. It would have been waaaay easier to spot him if he’d kept his super-long super-spiky hair, though, and if the other dancers weren’t all Asian (minus Dom). lol

Even with Dom’s trademark bandana missing last night, I still recognized him right away. Perhaps I am the only one so mesmerized by his skills that I can pick him out of any crowd? I’m all right with that.

Totally agree, Sara was extremely under-praised. The show tried to paint her as a somewhat unpolished female breaker, but she’d had dance training her entire life and had only discovered breakdancing a few years prior to her appearance on SYTYCD.

That’s how I managed to see Season 2. It was sometime after Season 3 when I did…but it was well worth that weekend. LOL. Granted, I was camped in front of the TV the entire weekend. But oh well.

Oh, there were also the Top 10 solos choreographed by Wade Robson (?) to John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change” from last season. Everyone in the Top 10 did that solo, but since it was the same one, I recommend watching Sara’s. I thought she was the best out of the group on that solo.

Ooooh, also Mia Michaels’ beautiful group routine to Hide & Seek was one of my favs. Except for the outrageous screaming in the background drowing out the music, it’s definitely worth a watch.

I LOVED that routine. But my favorite group performance would have to be the Ramalama number from S2.

Unless Comfort-Thayne can somehow make their fans vote them at Top 4 next week, no matter how well they dance next week, Comfort-Thayne will be on the chopping block.

Comfort can only pray that William_jessica also be in bottom 3 cause then she can survive one more week. If bottom 3 female dancers are her, and two other girls other than Jessica, Comfort will surely be a goner.

Thats say, I do not think Comfort can get into top 10 cause the other 5 girls, was much more talented than her. Katee, Chelsea, Kherington (NIgel fav), Courtney and Khourtni. Maybe Khourtni not as good as the other 4 , but she still do better than Comfort so far in SYTYCD 4.

Jessica had to pray that Will and her fans keep them at least in top 3 to make to the top 5 pairs otherwise, once she was in bottom 3, she was a goner too.

It will be pretty amamzing if the top 5 boys contain of 3 hip hop dancers and only 2 contemporary dancers? Must be first. Unless Matt can somehow gain enough voters to support him and Khourtni to top 3 pairs, they will end up in the bottom 3. And also hope other hip hop dancers pair stumbled into bottom 3. Otherwise he will be cut in top 6.

I am of the belief that Thayne and Comfort will be gone next week. There’s no way they can land in the B3 for 3 weeks in a row and not get cut. JMO.

It’s certainly not looking good for Thayne, but I hope he’s luckier in the draw next week. Personally, I don’t understand how Quickstep is in the competition anymore. I know they’ve had one or two successful attempts at it over the years, but it’s hardly ever popular – even with the judges.

What I’m really missing this year? A sexy male latin dancer. I’ve always hated the way ballroom dancers are treated as second class citizens on this show compared with lyrical/contemporary dancers. Both have their qualities and one isn’t ‘better’ than the other. This season, perhaps with some extra pushing by Mia (whom I’ve still not forgiven for her behavior in S2, despite her gorgeous choreography), they pretty much left ballroom out completely on the boys side other than one Swing dancer, and somehow it’s left this season lacking balance for me. *shrug*

This year was the worst year for ballroom dancing finalist cause only 2 made it to top 20 and only Chelsea was left after first elimination.

Judging from other contemporary dancers, (not all as good as Will and Mark), so maybe at least 1 or 2 finlaist can be ballroom dancing finalist.

Funny thing was, they dance lots of ballroom and latin dancing in the show , more than contemporary and jazz routine, but the contemporary dancers were dominating in top 20.

And I had a feeling that Nigel was pushing real hard for Will or maybe Kherington to win the whole thing.
