Uma Thurman begins her 5 episode arc on this week’s Smash. The Kill Bill star plays an A list actress, Rebecca Duvall, called in to take over the role of Marilyn in the newly named Broadway production, Bombshell.
Karen (Katharine McPhee) becomes the understudy to Marilyn, and despite forming an alliance with Ivy (Megan Hilty) against Rebecca, the actress takes a shine to Karen after a night out.
In two new previews, Karen lets a bit of news slip that upsets boyfriend Dev (to say the least), and Derek drops by Karen’s place to apologize.
Executive producer, Neil Maron, tells TV Line that Season 1 will end in a cliffhanger, with the production headed to Boston for tryouts. We won’t know who snagged the role of Marilyn until next season.
