    Ellis getting the smackdown might have been the best part of the episode. Other thoughts:

    1. Bombshell is a great title.
    2. I’m fffaaaaarrrr from a Republican, but I found Tom’s reaction pretty obnoxious.
    3. Julia had that coming but it was painful to watch.
    4. Strung out Ivy brings the lulz. She tells everyone off when she’s high.
    5. Karen got bitchy! I like this Karen. She should get bitchy much more often.
    6. Uma Thurman is going to be awesome.
    7. Did Ellis do that dude? What the hell happened there?

    I thought Tom came across as jerky tonight. The kid playing Messing’s son brings the laffs every week with his horrible acting. Don’t ever change.

    You mean if I return someone’s sunglasses I get to go backstage! I thought the episode tonight was “meh” except for the two musical numbers. I’m not even sure where the show is headed anymore.

    Some of those pics of Kat were really stunning. Why hasn’t she been asked to make movies. Or even model. IMO, she’s the most beautiful girl to come out of Idol.

    I really enjoyed the episode tonight! It was entertaining and it kept me in suspense the whole way through.
    Loved that Karen and Ivy became friends at least for one night Heh. That Cheers number was sweet.
    I am also glad Karen finally show some personality and snap right back to Ivy. Well done.
    Next week looks pretty good too.

    Apparently Derek go looks for Karen and Dev is not very happy about it.
    Yay I love me some Karen/Derek scenes, those two have such great chemistry.
    Anyways I do love this show and it keeps getting better and better.

    Nele621, Kat has been in some movies. “The House Bunny” and “Shark Night 3D” are two.  I understand she did some modeling.  In various fan surveys about Idol, Katherine is usually tops on the list of the most beautiful girl to be on Idol.  From what I’ve seen, Carrie Underwood is #2.  They both are gorgeous young women.

    I enjoyed tonight’s episode and look forward to next week.  I am not sure what Ellis did, but we have seen his girlfriend in previous episodes, right?

    As if Ivy doesn’t already have a self esteem issue, Karen tells her Derek seduced her first but she rejected him, so Ivy is really his second choice both in bed and as Marilyn. That was a low blow for Karen. As much as I like Karen, I’m getting tired of her always getting everything she attempts (except Marilyn, but she would have gotten that too if she’d slept with Derek). Did the writers also try to make a point by having Ivy live in a tiny studio and Karen live in a gorgeous spacious apartment?

    please give Kat some more bitchy scenes; they need to spice up her character like yesterday!
    all in all, really enjoyed Smash!  a great episode!

    Karen has a boyfriend who helps pick up the tab.  Ivy lives alone. Big difference at rent time.

    But that’s another reason to show that things go Karen’s way. Having a successful boyfriend which allows Karen to enjoy a much nicer apartment (than Ivey). Ivey has neither.
