Site Outage

My server guys tell me I was hacked today.   It’s a long story, but we had to revert back to the database from last night.   Earlier today, I did a back-up of the posts and comments, so, right now, I have recovered everything except for comments that have been posted in the last 3 or 4 hours or so.

Sorry about that.

It looks like I’m going to have to upgrade wordpress sooner rather than later to plug up any holes that allowed the hacker access to my database.

So, tonight, at around 2 am ET,   the blog will be going up and down for about an hour or so while I upgrade.

    Well when I first logged on and the site looked different I thought hmmm… Then I tried to look at the comments on the Scott McIntyre thread and everything went crazy on me…. I thought maybe you had booby trapped that thread – LOL. What a pain that you got hacked. Good luck with your restore!

    The newest WordPress version is 2.8 (2.8.1 will be released soon). And it looks like this blog’s version is 2.1.3.

    I have my own WordPress blog. Version 2.8 has a few bug that will be hopefully fixed soon. But the last 2.7.X version is great.
