Siobhan Magnus releases the music video for her new single “Black Doll” today. The video was shot, in part, at the Edward Gorey house on Cape Cod. The late writer and illustrator inspired “Black Doll” and is one of Siobhan’s favorite artists. The grainy look in the Gorey house footage was achieved with an iPhone app!

“Black Doll” was co-written by Siobhan, Mitzi Dawn and Michael Flanders will be released on iTunes this week.

I really love this song. I am in my 30s and I don’t find the lyrics silly, they are personal to her and I have to admit I have felt the same way when I was younger so I can relate to her lyrics. I think the video was retro cool and using Edward Goreys house and the grainy effects went well together. Can’t wait for the song on Itunes!
Also I saw her perform this live recently and I can say this is so NOT auto tuned. Her voice is even better live.
