    Love the funk-rock vibe of this song. And Siobhan’s vocals are amazing as usual.

    Her vocal at times reminded me of Annie Wilson/Heart. As I was watching the video, I was also reminded of 70s rock/LA: Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, etc. etc.

    This is quite a compliment on Siobhan’s voice. Siobhan’s definitely was the most interesting singer to come out of Season 9, but I don’t understand something. On the Idol show, her voice was so awesome. Now, when she gets to the studio, why can’t it be even better? If studio techniques, auto-tuner, and all that other magic can make Taylor Swift sound better – then why can’t Siobhan?

    I know nothing about studio arrangements except that they can take an average singer and make him/her sound better. We already know Siobhan is terrific. Can anyone explain this, or is this conversation too old?

    For better or worse, sound engineers can do a lot more than merely adjust the pitch of someone’s voice. To name a few, there’s delay, reverb, dssesing, compression, filtering. That can be a factor in why you prefer what you heard from her during her stint on Idol. Another factor is a singer’s voice can change over time because of age and wear-and-tear. How many singers are recorded without some sort of effects or processing to supposedly enhance their voices? Very few, I suspect.

    I love Siobhan but this video and song really sucks. I hope she gets better material because she could do so much better than this. What the heck was she thinking?

    If you mean it’s not a traditional music video you’re right, but otherwise it’s not that bad. It’s certainly more interesting than the fan-made videos of this song on Youtube. Siobhan is an indepentent artist at this time, with no financial backing from a music label. Over time the videos for her songs will become more ambitious. In the mean time I and her other fans will continue supporting her. Tell your cousin to give it a shot and put a video up on Youtube. I would love to see how it compares.
