Simon Cowell tells Terri Seymour of Extra that some big stars have already approached him about appearing on the US version of X Factor when it debut in Fall 2011, including….Justin Bieber.
“He [Justin Bieber] put himself forward to judge some of the episodes, ” Cowell said.
Simon told Extra that they have plans for a “huge A-lister” to join the show.
“We had a phone call from someone on the weekend, someone very well known who out of the blue wanted to be a judge on the show. Literally out of the blue, and it’s one of the most famous singers in the world, ” he said.
Hm. Simon told Deadline London, “All the money goes on screen. It’s not about paying for celebrities; it’s about money going on screen so that it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before on TV.”
Whatevs, Simon.
