Simon Cowell: “I Think The Guys are Much Stronger Than the Girls” – VIDEO

Simon Cowell tells ex-gal pal Terri Seymour that he thinks the Season 8 American Idol gus are “much, much, much stronger than the girls.”

Also, his favorite American TV show is The Flintstones. Go figure.

    I haven’t watched all the top 50 hopefuls videos but so far I agree with Simon, that the boys seem more talented. I can’t wait to have season 8 start.

    I believe this decision not to absolutely have a 6/6 gender split is reflective of what took place last year. I believe this even more now that Simon says there are more talented boys than girls this year. Let’s say the break down for Season 7 – position 11 and 12 went like this:

    David Hernandez = 25,000
    Danny Noriega = 24,000
    Amanda Overmyer = 23,000

    It would not matter, Amanda places in the Top 12 and becomes the sixth girl. Danny did have a fan base, and I just bet he did get more votes.

    Does anyone else believe it is possible that some of the boys in the Top 16 got more votes than Amanda or even another girl?

    Well, you can’t really judge it that way, Grammie, when they are competing on different nights. Different nights always turn out slightly different ratings, hence presumably different vote totals. It’s like a basketball tournament – no matter how unfair it may seem in the format, you just have to beat your direct competition to get to the next round. Other nights/games are irrelevant at that point.

    I figure…..people stick a mic in Simon’s face, he has to say something, so he just spouts off whatever for the “Simon Says” quote of the day, and then goes off somewhere to burn one while searching for a mirror to admire himself in.

    Well if Simon is right i’ll expect to see more guys in the top 12 than girls………….LOL
