Scotty McCreery dropped by Fox & Friends this morning, to debut his new single, “Southern Belle.” The track, written by Jason Saenz and Sean McConnell, is from the American Idol season 10 winner’s upcoming 3rd album.
The song was released to radio stations a few weeks ago, but then mysteriously pulled for a later release. Scotty has continued to play the song on tour.
Typical bro-country fair, the song includes the obligatory references to blue jeans and sweet tea:
“Ain’t nothin’ ring like a Southern Belle / Those angels singin’ down in the Bible Belt / Well brother, if lovin’ those sweet tea, blue jean dreams is wrong / Well, I can’t help it / Ain’t nothin’ ring like a Southern Belle.”
The fun song should fit right into current country radio formats. High quality lettuce, here folks! Heh.
