A special guest joined Scotty McCreery on stage last night (Feb 16) at the Golden Nugget casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

Country singer, Sarah Darling, joined the American Idol winner for a duet of Garth Brooks’ “The Dance”.

While Scotty has been attending school and recording music for his next album during the week, he’s been hitting the road during the weekends on a tour fittingly dubbed the Weekend Roadtrip Tour.  Sarah is his opening act.

     I think some of the new songs that Scotty has unveiled show promise.  I hope the new CD will have a balance of the more traditional country sound (which Scotty does very well) with the more currently radio-friendly, modern country sound.
