Scotty McCreery – American Legends of Ice – VIDEO

Oh well. I tried to record NBC American Legends of the Ice special that aired on NBC today, but for reasons–it was an epic fail.

Scotty McCreery appeared at the event, which was taped on December 11 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Nancy Kerrigan, Gracie Gold and Adam Rippon were some of the skaters who participated.

I did find one video at Youtube from today’s special. Here’ Scotty singing “The Trouble with Girls” for a routine featuring Ashley Wagner.

Thanks, MJ. I dvr’ed successfully, but would have no idea how to post. I think the success of the performances really depended on the effort of the skater in question–Ashley and the guy who skated to See You Tonight did really nice jobs of choreographing to the music. The young girl who skated to WaterTowerTown, not so much

I enjoyed the show overall–what a walk down memory lane.:)

Thanks so much for posting, MJ! So sorry that you couldn’t record video, but I hope it will seep into the Internet as something, because I love SYT.
Excellent work, Ashley and Scotty! And charming kids near Scotty.

Don’t feel bad, MJ, I also failed at DVR’ing this today. Thanks for posting!

I loved the show! I love watching ice skating and I love watching Scotty McCreery so I was in heaven this afternoon. I especially enjoyed the finale with Scotty singing America The Beautiful.

This video is so good. The ones with See You Tonight and the Finale with Scotty singing America The Beautiful and all the skaters were simply outstanding. Hopefully they will turn up on you tube soon.

Here’s a couple pics of Ashley with Scotty (sort of)

I tuned into this program blind hoping to see Michelle Kwan who wasn’t on it, dammit! I didn’t know Scotty would be on it. He was fine – sang 4 or 5 songs. Just not my thang.

I know I am in a minority, but this is a special event so I would have liked to see Scotty dressed a bit differently. I know he’s not a suit and tie guy, but a nice shirt or even sweater would have been nice. I loved seeing Candice in a gown. Scotty’s singing was fine.

  • Lexie O’Neill

Actually, Scotty has dressed in a suit and tie quite often for awards shows and charity events. So, I have to think he/his team didn’t realize that this was more formal. I don’t know, of course, maybe there was some other reasoning…

I watch a lot of the Disson specials. Usually the performers just dress like they normally would for a concert.

I loved the show and could listen to Scotty sing all day long. However, I do agree with you that a plain shirt and/or nice sweater would have spiffed him up a bit for this special event. Some guys are not into wardrobe but finding a good clothier/advisor who recognizes Scotty likes the casual look would, I think, be well worth it.for him. even its just selecting the right t-shirts.rather than ones with logos. He looked fantastic at the ACM Awards.and other special events where he’s in suit and tie or tuxedo if the event calls for it.

The world is not the same place it once was as far as “dressing for the occasion goes”. I find it rather silly that people, today, still feel that there is a “dress code” out in society. It’s like all the cruisers out there who complain that very few people “dress up” for formal night on a cruise. I agree that a “performer” should dress as they usually do for a performance. For a country singer to wear a suit everytime he sings at a one-off event is pretty ludicrous unless the event dresses him. Would we have expected a red carpet gown if he was a woman?

  • dd999

Noone, is suggesting Scotty should have worn a suit for this event far from it so I don’t know what your talking about. Your right about freedom to dress as you like whether its the ridiculous or barely nothing at all, but these are not the people considered good dressers in the fashion world. As far as women’ attire, I don’t think there’ any star out there that dresses better than Taylor Swift. She’s a fashion designer’s dream and whether its casual clothes or gowns she looks awesome all the time. Some of us like to see that, so I guess its to each his own!

I think his outfit was chosen before. Did you see the See You Tonight performance. The skater was dressed like Scotty – that had to take some preplanning. The skater was fabulous.

Actually, Scotty has usually been in the best-dressed lists for awards shows he attends. He was dressed to sing here, and this is how he normally sings.

I loved Scotty on Legends of Ice just so Amazing
