Scott MacIntyre is Engaged

Scott MacIntyre is engaged! He’s set to wed Christina Tech later this year. He spilled the good news to US Weekly:

American Idol finalist Scott MacIntyre is set to walk down the aisle!

The season 8 contestant will swap vows with Christina Teich, a rep for the singer confirms to UsMagazine.com. MacIntyre and Teich are expected to wed later this year.

The couple plans to make their first public appearance at the season 10 American Idol Top 24 party, to be held February 24 in Hollywood.

No further deets on the mysterious bride-to-be. Although, this is probably Christina.  Her twitter description reads,  “BA in Communication Studies from APU, follower of Jesus, enjoyer of music, arts, family, friends, & 100% completely in love with my fiancee!”

    I wanted to make the blind joke (but I had trouble toning it down and being able to say it without feeling guilty). Also, he probably does know what she looks like, IIRC he can KINDA see in a certain spot in his eye…. I explained that horribly.

    Scott’s representative confirms his engagement to US Weekly? I know that US Weekly is concerned with celebrity news and gossip but I’m pretty surprised that Scott rates a mention in even the online edition. Congrats to Scott on his engagement and his ability to extend his 15 minutes well beyond the limit I would have expected based on his singing ability.
