I’m very excited for David’s first screen kiss, and that he’ll be highlighted in the story this time. I heard a rumor that the band will also be featured quite a bit. Hope it’s true. I think this video might be put out next Tuesday? I can’t wait.

LOL. See the compensation is… she gets to kiss David. See how that works. Simple.

Take it with a grain of salt, but the rumor floating around is that the video will premiere March 30th. I tend to believe this since it works well with David’s Idol performance on April 1st. I bet they’ll show at least a snippet of the video on the show as part of the promotion.

Oh, and as much as the kiss excites me, I’m much more excited about David doing some acting, and about the backward thing. Really curious to see how it all comes together.

Yeah, appearantly David had to learn how to sing CBTM backwards, which means at least some of the video will be in reverse motion (IE the film will be played backwards so David’s lips will match the words of the song while everything else will be reversed).

I could imagine them starting the video with David and Sarah together (again) and then going “back in time” to show how they parted. Or, you know, something else entirely. LOL

David himself told some fans that the editing would take longer due to the way the video was shot, I’m assuming the whole backwards thing makes for some tricky editing. I have a feeling 4/14 IS the new impact date mostly because spins are way, way too low right now. At least I hope it was pushed back.

Hopefully. LO was a #1 video on VH1 and did very well there.
The VH1 countdown is influenced by the HAC chart, but I think CBTM will do well on that format, so I definitely see this video as having a strong potential on VH1. BTW – LO is still on the chart at #16, which is nice because it had a long run.

The song’s name is appearantly “Souvenir”, an unreleased song from the DCTR recording sessions. All of this is highly unconfirmed though, since the source is twitter.

It’s a dual release – CBTM and BBS. We’ve heard David say so himself. CBTM is just starting to get some radio spins so it is on board for an imminent release, whenever that might be.

The new song isn’t a cover. Whatever era it’s originally from, it’s a DC song. The song title didn’t appear on the unreleased album’s tracklist, that’s why I tend to believe it might be newer.

Aw man, I remember being really annoyed with this chick’s posture in Disturbia… and I can’t help it, but that’s the first thing I’m noticing in this pic! She just had this really pronounced scrunched shoulders thing going on in the movie, and the fact that I can see it even under her jacket makes me worried that it’ll be distract me from the pretty in the video… [flips through the picture set again], okay who am I kidding, nothing will distract me from the pretty– and I won’t be looking at her =P.

CBTM is absolutely gorgeous on the radio. Having the video to go along with it makes me positively giddy.

I love that DC is changing up his set list every night and adding more songs to his repertoire. I swear he has enough material to release two more cds right this minute. If only he could, more for us.

I agree. Some of the songs should be released on iTunes. Us fans have already bought the current album, and I think that we would buy additional songs if they were placed on iTunes. I wonder why labels don’t do that? It seems like it would keep the momentum going with fans, plus draw new fans into his material and then perhaps buy his album. I know Archie fans were also wanting additional songs released. What would be the harm? It would be more money for the labels. It probably wouldn’t cost much to put a song digitally only out on iTunes. Unless they are afraid it would distract from any current singles?

Personally, I would like to see them put out a studio version of a “new” past idol song along with the studio versions of the current AI contestants. Maybe feature one each week. Maybe the week that Cook is visiting AI, then put out an un-released song out on iTunes that week (for example Anodyne)….when Archie visits, put out one of the songs that didn’t make his album (for example zero gravity). I love seeing things from past idols. I think featuring one each week on the results show has really been a big improvement of the show this season. Featuring one each week on iTunes would also be cool in my opinion.

Those photos of David are gorgeous. The video should be great! I don’t know very much about her, but she is one lucky girl. I personally think David has very sexy, cool looking hair. But in response to the “bald” comment – His face is so handsome it wouldn’t matter if he were bald. Anyway, for me it’s all about the VOICE, at least that’s what I keep telling myself!

Maybe he’ll put out an EP or a deluxe cd before too long. Some of the bonus songs on the cd could be included.

He could re-record and re-release the Analog Heart 1&2 materials.

I think they have a lot coming down the pike eventually. And I look forward to it.

There is a great picture of David Cook behind a piano in a gray kind of suit from American Idol, too. He is kind of looking over his shoulder in that one. I don’t know if he plays piano or not, but considering his incredible musical ability I wouldn’t be surprised. Same with Archie and the guitar. Lots of musicians play multiple instruments. (Brooke White, Andy Skib, etc., etc.) Really nice pictures. I love the one almost full length in the woodsy background. Can’t wait for the video.

Anywho, on the switcharoo, if we’re talking it’s unusual to see Cook behind a piano, just as Archie looked odd strumming the guitar in his Crush video. Yeah, yeah, sure, I get that.
