    Last season the best singers imo were Elliott, Chris, Mandisa, and Paris and they didn’t place higher than 3rd. This season the best singers would probably be Melinda, Lakisha, Chris S, and Jordin. Jordin is the only one that I can see going to the end even though I like Melinda a lot. Chris S. has a great voice but Blake will likely pass him by because he’s a much better entertainer and the girls love him (young & old). I agree with Dingo that Lakisha won’t make it to the end and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Melinda as the shocker also. There’s no surprise in that because it’s happened before. Even in season 1, Kelly should have been up against Tamyra and Justin & Nikki shouldn’t have been nearly that high.

    Christina Christian was my first choice for AI 1, but then switched to Kellie. And yes Christina is beautiful and sure can sing. Whatever happened to her.

    WHY is everyone mad a Chris Sligh because that weird stp person posted stuff? It’s not Chris’s fault that the person behaved badly. And do we even know for sure that the person is who they said they were? Im not for or against Chris S. but the guy “could” really kick it in if he would just add those growls and a wild song of some kind. Ive heard a rasp and growl in there…he needs to go for it.

    She wrote it when she was about 15 or 16 when her parents separated (listen to the words). Good oleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ Clive would not let her record HER songs so I believe she released it when she went with her new management team (could be wrong here.)

    You are wrong on several counts. Clive has nothing to do with Kelly’s management…he’s with Sony BMG and indeed had to approve all of the songs for Kelly’s CDs. Kelly is still with Sony BMG, recording for RCA.

    Kelly “fired” Simon Fuller and 19 Management AFTER “Breakaway” was released, and regardless, managers generally have little or no say about which tracks make it onto an album.

    His personality literally got him into the competition just like Taylorà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s hair.

    I loved Taylor’s grey hair so much that I went to see his hair three times in concert in the last two weeks. His hair put on the best concert I have ever seen of anyone’s hair in my life! Very talented hair IMO.

    Lakisha , Melinda and Jordin all have fantastic voices however , I think that Lakisha lacks emotion with her performances. She doesn’t seem to feel what she sings. Melinda lays her heart out there everytime she sings and Jordins performance last week had a lot of feeling. She may have only been 17 but she gave an emotional performance. Lakisha is like Paris who had all the technical things down pat but she just didn’t seem to “feel” what she was singing. Paris always seemed over programed to me. Good singers sing with emotion.

    I agree Little Boy Blue. Jordin reminds me a lot of Kimberly LOcke. I have kimberlys first album, and it was excellent. It shouldve sold wayyy more then it did. I saw her on the view recently. She lost a ton of weight on that Celebrity Fit Club, had her hair straightened. She looked gorgeous. TMZ reported she showed for a concert in a bikini, but I find that highly improbable. I dont put a lot of stock in their stories, too national inquirer like for me.

    They just parodied Sanjaya on Saturday Night Live. Sounded just like him doing, “You Really Got Me.” Of course, they had the crying girl in the audience, as well as 2 grown men bawling. I guess you can say that Sanjaya has now made it. LOL

    You are correct…Kelly apparently had to “fight” Clive to name her first CD Thankful. Clive has a tremendous amount of power over the Idols regardless of who is managing them. 19 Management also has a lot of control over them.
    Indeed, her contract with Simon Fuller was supposedly bought out for $3 million.

    Perhaps her new management team has more persuasion with Clive baby! All I know is that she has flourished since changing management. Good for her!
