I completely feel for Joe after reading his interview/transcript. Tim should be gone next. I really like the vocals of Aaron and Alex, I’m glad they stayed over Tyler. Tyler was interesting in a funny way but I would never buy his music and he didn’t have a chance in hell of winnning the whole thing.

Love Janell, I knew she had poise from how she took criticism in Hollywood after singing a Swift song. She was right, unfortunately she was stuck in the middle zone. She wasn’t completely handed her walking papers by the judges Tuesday so the audience wasn’t compelled to save her and she didn’t have a standout rockin perf either. I threw a few votes her way but mostly I was trying to save Siobhan, Didi, and Lacey. I see a bright future for Janell!

I thought Joe didn’t deserve to leave,it should have been Tim. It is hard for the older teenage boys like Tyler and Alex,they tend to get eliminated very quickly in the top 24 or 36 even if they are decent singers. Usually there is only one teenage boy and/or girl in the top 12.

Who taught this generation that in order to feel proud of themselves and not beat themselves up (which is good), they would change nothing, would do the same thing over again, and that basically they learned nothing from the experience? Three out of four say this!

I do feel like (with the exception of Ashley), their performances had some interest, and would rather have seen Alex L or Tim or Jermaine go home. But kudos to Janelle for being the only one of the three to confront the fact that none of them were very good and think about how she might improve.

I really liked Tyler. A lot. I expected him to make top ten, actually. I was looking forward to what he was going to do from week to week. Yes, his performance of ‘American Woman’ was a bit underwhelming…..but I attributed that to nerves. I liked everything I’d seen of him up till then. Tim Urban? Really?? Goes to show the power of ‘Vote for the Worst’.

Like I said before…’Idol’ may finally have jumped the shark.

simon was indeed harsh on ashley last tuesday. i mean, “i don’t see you as a contemporary recording artist”? sure, the girl wasn’t great vocally but the comment was like “no matter what you do, you’ll never be a star”

I read Ashley’s interview. She has a good head on her shoulders, and isn’t whiny like I thought after reading only the “Ashley thought the judges were too harsh” quote.

I didn’t know that! That usually DOESN’T help contestants though. Makes them seem whiny and whatnot. I think it’s revealing that they apparently tell the contestants to talk back to the critiques. They just want good TV!

I wish Tyler and Janell had stayed longer. They were definitely not the worst. I think Janell is right…she(and Tyler) both fell into that trecherous middle territory where you’re assumed safe, especialy considering the apathy of voters that night.

I just listened to Tyler’s band’s music and I like it. It would have been nice for him to get a bit more exposure. Not to mention the fact that he’s a lot more interesting than half of what’s left. For the most part, it’s a pretty boring group left.

Feel bad for all of them. Based on raw talent, NOT their performances, they’re all good. Joe would have probably been weeded out before the Top 12 but with the right song, the others could have been really good.

Unfortunately, for those who regret their song choices, they only get one chance and if they lose there is no return. But they may get a lot of sympathy for some time to come if people think they were robbed…

Even though he is a young kid, Joe Munoz has showed people how to handle disappointment with grace. Good for him. I don’t know if he would proved good, bad, or indifferent – I just wish the fair thing had happened and we had actually gotten a chance to see more than a glimpse of him prior to the first live show. I hope his faith is proven right and things only get better and better for him.

There ought to be an overrule feature on Ai. There is no way in hell Tim Urban should not have gone home instead of one of these guys. I really thought Joe was halfway decent. Unfortunately for him he isn’t that cute and he wasn’t criticized too much so he fell through the cracks. It seems so unfair given how hard some of these people work to get there. I was really surprised Janell went home. I can’t really say I was sorry though. But Hailey is the girl’s Tim Urban. She is awful.
