The Sing Off winners Pentatonix are opening 3rd on both the sales and combined charts with their latest album. That’s not too shabby considering it is the week before Halloween and it is a Christmas album. They are definitely getting a head start on having the Christmas Album of the year as they often do.
Lady Gaga is topping this week’s charts with her twang infused rock-ish album. Her monsters will follow her wherever she goes, but will this album have legs with the general public? Michael Buble stays in his lane with “Nobody But Me”. He has has built his fan base and everybody is happy. Korn rocks to 4th and are joined by The Pretty Reckless. Mining the post hardcore vein is I Prevail while the Trans-Siberian Orchestra pulls into the station with their latest Christmas album. Jimmy Eats World (Rock again) is followed by Leonard Cohen (whose most covered song is the debut video released by Pentatonix for their Christmas album). Closing out the top 10 of all debuts is Chris Tomlin.
Lauren Daigle and Carrie Underwood are back-to-back as they return to the sales chart at 38th and 39th respectively. Carrie remains on the combined chart at 27th. Meanwhile, Carrie also appears on Keith Urban’s “Ripcord” at 26th/24th while Fifth Harony is on Now 59 at 21st.
