Sales News – Week Ending – 05/26/16

Voice judge Blake Shelton is in a battle to top the album sales chart with Ariana Grande. He has taken the lead for now with 88% of reports in. Ariana Grande took a break from licking donuts to save us all from getting fat to release her latest album, “Dangerous Woman”. She’ll stream more than Blake, but can she hold off Drake (currently at 4th) to claim the BB200? Beyonce is in the mix with her “Lemonade” currently at 3rd and strong streaming numbers.

Eric Clapton is debuting in 5th, Meghan Trainor slides from 3rd to 6th in her second week, Adele is back in the top 10 at 7, Prince continues to sell well (Madonna’s much discussed tribute to him was on the weekend) and Chris Stapleton is 10th.

Now 58 which features Kelly Clarkson and Zayn is 9th. Zayn’s solo album is also on the chart at 42nd. Carrie’s “Storyteller” is at 37th.

Fifth Harmony dropped their “7/27” album this morning. Their big competition will likely be Country star Dierks Bentley.
