From US Magazine:

Ryan Seacrest and Lindsay Lohan were spotted out together in Hollywood Thursday night, but it turns out that their meetup was strictly business.

“Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for herà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦it helps people and gives others a second shot!” Ryan wrote on his Twitter page on Friday, one day after he and the actress went to H.Wood in L.A. “Still putting it all together.”

Lohan also mentioned details of the project on her Twitter page Friday.

“Working on a really great project for television — I am excited!” she wrote. “Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABCà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ :)

According to TMZ.com, the premise of the potential series is that real people who are on the wrong track and looking for a second chance are given $1 million to make it happen. Lohan, no stranger to the concept, would likely serve on a panel of judges who hear contestants’ stories.

Hooking up with Seacrest won’t be the first time Lindsey has worked with somebody associated with American Idol.   Kevin Covais, from Season 5, co-starred with her in the movie Labor Pains airing on the ABC Family channel this summer…

Anyway, Ryan’s foray into producing so far has been pretty cringeworthy. Keeping up with the Kardashians? Bromance, with that asshat, Brody Jenner? Chronicling the life of nobody Denise Richards in It’s Complicated? Pretty putrid stuff.

And now Ryan will be exploiting helping effed up people change their lives, with the aid of the mega-trainwreck-in-progress that is Lindsay Lohan.   Ryan should be proud!

Now that you laid it all on the table, mj, it makes Ryan look like Simon. Vultures. Birds of the same feather…are the same bird. LOL

  • iluvai

Please don’t say this is so. Oh well, I guess I don’t have to watch it!!

  • will

Wow, has it come to this Lindsay? A TV movie on the ABC Family channel?? Co-starring Kevin Covais??? And you’re going to be giving OTHER people advise on how to get THEIR lives back on track???? Great concept, Ryan!

  • Tony

Ryan. Your TV shows SUCK. Please stop.

  • SpenserJ

Ugh. First the trashy Kardashian clan, and now this? Seacrest, you should be ashamed.

  • Dr. Tracey

Sounds like another show I won’t be watching.

  • cay

Yuk. There goes any love that I had for Ryan. So slimy and desperate. He’s fallen so far.

My God this reads like a Punk’d episode.

I couldn’t have said that any better myself. lol Lindsay Lohan? Seriously Ryan?

  • milly93

    DO NOT WANT.

  • Elaine

No Thank You. Ryan, seriously, not a good career move.

  • twinkle

    those who can’t, teach?

  • revcat

    One word: Blech!

  • AC

omg, between ryan and simon, they have the worst ideas for shows.

  • justin1920

    Anything to make money .

  • anna in vegas

    Anything to make money .

Agree justin1920. If Ryan would give up a few of his day jobs (how many does he have anyway?) perhaps the economy and recession would improve! :help_tb:

Saw a funny entry on Ryans’s twitter. His mom sent him an Easter card with a $20 bill in it! Hope he put it to good use, lol. (I definitely must have too much time on my hands.)

  • TwigLA

I used to like Ryan. But as he’s progressed, aged, whatever, I like him less and less. Of course, I’ve always hated KISS.FM. I won’t even get into his involvement in trash TV.

The $20 from his Mom is funny. She must be richer than mine who puts $5 in cards. I wonder if that was for him to have a night out on the town. Wasn’t there a report of him and Simon going to a stripper bar?

(I think I woke up on the cynical side of the bed this morning.)

  • gingerly

Just another show I don’t even want to watch.

Just the headline alone bleeds/screams “PATHETIC”. What a combination of losers.

  • http://www.irish-wolfhounds.com Buderschnookie

Presumably this would be an “E” show, right?
    Who is bankrolling this fugazi?

All of his other shows have relatively low production costs, but this one is giving away a cool million?
So is this one recipient per season? I can’t see how they can afford to have too many people on the receiving end of this.

  • suebrody

Is Ryan really that bored? Or poor? Well, Joel McHale said on The Soup that Ryan would be at Home Depot, looking for work on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Guess he was right. ;)

  • Ligeya

Ryan is very ambitious and building his empire step by step. I think he’s just being clever, knowing he wouldn’t be able to host forever, and already started to build bridges to go behind the scene to produce and create shows. And who knows, maybe this show will be a success. The premise is deffinitely better than premise of other shows he produced. And considering he’s doing another show with Jaime Oliver to cjange eating habits of people, I think he’s moving in positive direction.
As for exploitation, well, it’s not like Idol or So do you think… do not exploit their stars – and said stars also exploit shows in return.

  • colette

    Rescue Lindsay!

    Blech.

This is not only a terrible, idiotic and exploitative idea for a show. It’s also a loser.

Remember Britney’s reality romp? How about Whitney and Bobby’s? And, oh yeah, Paula Abdul’s?

No one cares. Celebrity is about UNREALITY. But it’s this kind of over-exposure that can drive people into another nervous breakdown/rehab mess…..

    Seacrest, out!
